Inspired by the great share on offline leads from Wasted regarding sitebuilder footprints, I just wanted to share something that I stumbled upon over the weekend. I went to a local wedding exhibition with my fiancee and was stunned at the fertile ground for lead generation. I wish that I had dressed up a bit and brought some business cards! (we were genuinely just checking out the local wedding suppliers) Anyway, I still left with several very solid leads without even really trying. You've basically got 50-100 face to face meetings with companies who are desperate to sell their services (why else would they be exhibiting at a wedding fair?) and once you let them do their sales talk, you can easily explain to them how YOU are the person to help. So bring your girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife/buddy, pretend you're getting married in a couple of years and get selling! There are loads of these fairs happening in the UK every week (no idea about other countries), there was free food and drink at mine, and my fiancee loved looking at dresses/cakes and fancy hotels (we're currently planning a one-two sales assault for the next one!).
