First of all, a big thanks to William702 for disclosing this method, but also for replying to each and every question.

I've read entire thread, it took me few days as I have full time job + part-time gig, but still there is some time left to read about IM.

I'm mostly into Facebook ads, but recently Zuckerberg became really greedy and ads cost skyrocketed, so I'm exploring alternatives.

So, I just have this question. When you pin for your clients, I assume your client prepares the picture or even 10 pictures for you to pin, and provides you with the link that you include in the pin? Or you create the picture? How does this part work?

In a nutshell, this method is = get into many group boards as possible (so that boards are not too big, not too small, not too niche) -> find clients who could profit from their pins being pinned in those niche group boards -> offer pinning service and take money + grow your own boards as well. Right?

What a large group board means?

That's very kind of you. I bet it took you ages lol.

Some do and some just let me do it. Basically when I use the app extension it drags the image and info across much like when you press the pin button on a website. So it just grabs the first image of the product. I dont have to do anything. I don't have to include the link because it does it for me. Probably another reason it goes well. Lets say its a product on Poshmark. I go to the listing and in the bottom corner of the picture is a link to the extension. I press on that and it opens it up in the app. I add the price and a few relevant keywords.

That said I have learned a lot myself since I started this thread. I used to just include the info it populated when I created the pin. Now I add a few more things to give it a boost like the hashtags etc. When I started this thread it was mainly for selling invites and I didn't sell as many pins but now its the other way around. I sell shit tons of pins and rarely invite people to group boards. I kind of shot myself in the foot sharing this but you live and learn. You have it in a nutshell yes :)

A board with hundreds if not thousands of contributors. If it has a lot of pins being added it has a lot of activity so just use your discretion.

I'm glad to say this method is still generating easy income for me. I have had to change things around a bit with how I market this service to my potential clients but I think I have found my groove again with who to approach and how.

Trying to list services like this on Fiverr just wont work like it used to. You need to think of ways to introduce the service to the potential clients you have for other services and then up-sell them the pins and invites.

I used to use this service to up sell others to them but now it's the other way around with the pins and invites being an extra I can push. If anything the crackdown has made it a more appealing offer. I now say things like "Pinterest stopped people selling pins and invites because it was becoming this huge thing with thousands of people doing it, because its effective" using the fact that you are not allowed to do it as a selling point showing them how effective it can be has always worked well for me. This has also driven up the price because it's harder to find people offering it anymore.

Finding people to buy the services I guess is the tricky part for most people. But at the same time it's really the easiest bit, it takes work but it is easy to make a few posts in the right place on social media and clients come flooding in. I hope there are still people making money from this and don't forget to make sure the gigs you promote are done so with a deep affiliate link directly to the gig so that you can get $15 - $50 affiliate commission for the sale.

I moved several of my gigs to the E-comm section and now get $50 affiliate commission for sales as opposed to $15 commission. DON'T FORGET TO DO THIS PART! It's free money lying on the ground...Pick it up.

Thanks for the tips and update with how you're doing things now. Are you saying that gigs under the E-com category on Fiverr receive higher commissions than those under other categories?

Yeah, eCommerce is a sub section of programming and tech which is one of the top tiers for commission. The commission for Fiverr affiliates ranges from $100 for a pro service down to $15 for a standard signup. Just by changing the category like that I started making over three times as much as I had been on the affiliate commissions for sending customers to my gigs.

Are the gigs you're listing under E-com actually related to E-com or are you listing them there regardless if there related to it or not? Also, have you ever applied to become a Fiverr pro? Thanks

I was wondering if someone would ask me that as I didn't make it too clear. I make it as related as possible such as putting it in the help/consultation section and then having a title like I'll help you get sales or I'll help you drive sales to your eCommerce store etc. or backup, cloning migration. So it is relevant Yes

Hi William, great post! I was wondering if you would be interested in some kind of JV, I'm currently working on a fully automated Pinterest bot that allows me to manage tens of thousands of accounts, but I'm a novice when it comes to promoting stuff on Pinterest. I can not write PMs, but that's something you might be interested in, you can pm me your email. Thanks

I'm sorry but I would not be interested. I have been approached with similar deals from several people which I have no time for. Thank you for reaching out though. Pinterest is becoming widely used in the ecomm and IM industry. If you build anything my advice would be to work within the boundaries of Pinterest and that way you will have a much bigger market to promote whatever you make to as opposed to a few thousand people who might buy some underground version, that's my two cents. You can also check out the JV section of the forum and post your offer there to see if anyone is interested in working with you. Good luck.

    Hi!
    Thanks for sharing.
    1. I have a couple of accounts on Pinterest. One is like my personal with really various content, design, visual porn (aesthetic photos), erotica too.
Let's say I will approach handmade and crafts ladies with marketing offers. Do you think I should start a new pinterest account or I shall continue developing my personal account nevermind it is not narrow niche?
    2. Is there a point in promoting someones instagram via pins? Traffic to instagram is not trackable. Bit.ly links are prohibited on Pinterest. Is there any way to measure effectiveness of pins with instagram-link source? Own redirect via website would be just number of clicks without the details about the audience I guess.

    Thank you!

    Thank you, it's my pleasure.

If you have any porn or adult material on it I would personally start another because I don't think this method will work well with that sort of content. I'm not sure if tracking the traffic is possible from that end and with directing traffic to Instagram.

I have 'instagram-safe' erotica (no nipples etc) but yeah, not every pin is like that. so it's a risk I guess.

Personally I would just make a new account for doing something like this. You would be surprised at how fast you can get one established and how fast you could join some group boards. I don't know about secret boards. It was my understanding that only you could see them so what would be the point? If you dont need them or are not going to use them for anything just delete them. If you are make a new account. Generally from what I have seen the types of accounts that post that sort of content look a certain way and are normally geared towards men, lots of cars, cigars, blah blah blah. Pinterest is female dominated so that wont work there. You need to think differently when it comes to Pinterest.
