this is a method i wanted to share, that is not saturated at all. for when the covid-19 pandemic is over. you could easily prepare for this method over for the coming months, and once the social distancing order is lifted you could get started. the method involves creating a physical class room, in your home. you can do this one easy without knowledge as well. you dont have to be smart in specific subject. you can also learn from your own class room at the same time as your students.

Requirements:
1. Projector
2. laptop
3. time
4. large space in your house
5. anywhere from $10 to $100

this method is a very simple method. there are plenty of online training programs ranging from $10 to $100/month, for this method you'll be required to purchase an online training program. i am going to use the Gnomon Workshop from hollywood in this example.

to start you'll want to just setup a projector and laptop in a clean roomy area of your home and purchase an online training program of choice. the gnomon workshop costs $49.99 USD/month. then what you're gonna do next is sell seats in your home, for the less than, the price of the training program. the key is to sell as many seats as possible. for example, i would make an advertisement on kijiji or craigslist and offer training courses in Game Design like this:

"hi, I am offering Classes in a private Space in my home, for up to 10 people. We will all be studying the art of Game design using unreal engine, we will learn as a group, i have 300+ lectures available for our study material from the Gnomon Workshop, and this will give you the opportunity to learn and collaborate with people in group setting, who are all like minded individuals, please contact me for a schedule, my hosting fee's are $30/month, and includes snacks. you are required to bring your own laptop."

once you get your advertisement going, you can then start filling your available seats. if your course costs $49.99/month. and youre selling for $30/month to 10 people. its a no brainer, that you'll be making $300/month minus the cost the course and the cost of snacks(costco membership would be worthwhile for buying snacks). obviously the higher the quality of material you are studying the more you can charge.

but remember people have short attention spans, so by providing snacks, you can keep their hands busy while they learn. a large bowl of nuts and raisins, or maybe some bulk candy like skittles. could easily feed 10 people, while keeping their attention with the videos. providing a positive professional experience is important.

Never allow strangers into your house. You can't trust them man. You could get robbed or worse raped/murdered.

some people are comfortable inviting people into their home. like this one guy i know did this for his game design studio while i worked for him for a bit. and i mean it doesnt have to be at home. you could set this up at a local library, or rent a private classroom (renting a private classroom means you could technically fit more people in the class), plus charge additional for a classroom setting. but the principle is the same.

You don't need to use your home. Libraries have rooms available, most medium to large cities have conference room available for rent or you could look at small conference rooms at hotels.

The replies about getting robbed or raped are just people looking for reasons for this not to work. If you want to be successful you need to find twists that improve an idea to make it work for you.

This is a great way to get business if you are in webdesign, SEO, IM Marketing. You could charge but you don't need to.

Do a 2 hour seminar on how to build a web site, do SEO and market your small business. Teach all the small businesses how to do this.

There is no way most small businesses have the time or technical knowledge to do it all. And you have branded yourself as an expert.

A women in my city offers the seminars for free. I went to a free seminar by this woman at a local library. It was free but at the end of the seminar during "any questions" all the questions were, "What services do you offer?", "How much to redesign my website?", "How much do you charge for SEO?", etc.

I talked to her afterwards. She consistently got 3-4 $1000+ clients after each "free" seminar.

Other good niches are "crafty" niches. A new "sewing club" business opened in my city that offers memberships to join and get access to professional sewing machines, looms, etc. They also offer occasional classes on how to sew.

I thought offering a class on how to sell your home crafts on Etsy would be a good idea. Not sure if I'm going to bother hitting them up with the idea but it would be something their members would probably pay to attend. And they have the room and customer market already available. I'd just have to develop or find an Etsy course and negotiate a partnership on splitting the profits with the business.

Anyway, as OP said, these kinds of ideas are all on hold until we see how the end of this pandemic plays out.

I think after this Covid dies down a lot of people who are not IM aware will be interested in learning ways to make their own money, supplement their income and add some protection form getting laid off/losing work in the future.

Say a one-day (or two-day) weekend seminar on "How to make money as an Amazon affiliate" for $197. Only 10 people and you are at two grand for one day's work (or two days). People will respond to a local flyer posted at the library and/or a local Craigslist ad for in-person training more than a pop up ad for a $1000 guru course on Facebook or YouTube.

Teach how the Amazon affiliate program works, niche research, buying a domain and hosting, basic WordPress setup, content creation, introductory marketing like YouTube and social media. You only need to teach basic stuff for beginners. I think most people here could put a course like this together just off the top of their head.

Why not just do this over Zoom like people are getting used to now?
