Hi sorry for the delay.
1. Yes you'll be able to index in a few hours. My max is 24h.
Depends on the forum you'll choose I guess.
2. Google will decide if your site is worth indexing other pages or not.
3. I get "unable to fetch" from time to time. Sometimes I just refresh the page on my search console account and it changes to valid, sometimes it stays as is. I don't think it's important.

If you’re doing thousands batch them. Send sitemaps in chunks, monitor Search Console, and re-submit problem batches. Also rotate anchor pages so you don’t concentrate all new URLs on one place.

Nice share! Works well for initial indexing, especially on fresh links. Just need to be careful with overuse
