I found this pretty solid method on John Chow's blog, i haven't seen anything like this posted here, so here ya go:

"If you have an email account then no doubt you have received email spam. While everyone hates spam, the sad fact of life is they still make a lot of money for the spammers sending them. Here?s a little PPV/CPV trick you can do to make money off the email spammers.

The next time you receive spam in your inbox, copy and save the links. Then check out what kind of offer the spammer is offering. Generally, it?s in the lose weight, greater sex, better you niche. Find a similar offer from your favorite affiliate network and target it using a PPV network. When it comes time to enter the keywords, use the URLs given by the email spammers. This will trigger your offer when an adware user clicks on the spammer?s link.

Email spammers send out millions of emails everyday and those clicks can provide a nice amount of inventory in which to serve your PPV offers into. It also a pretty evil way to make money off the spammers because you?re popping your offer over theirs."

I guess the method is already known by our vets, but it may help the PPV rookies who already know one or two things about PPV but still struggling to make some profit.

Your fears, thoughts are welcome, however most likely i can't participate much in the discussion furthermore :), because i've never done anything related to PPV/CPV.

Devious. Seems like you would need the perfect storm or a very very very large sample for this to be mega-profitable, though -- I don't know how much PPV pays, but as an enterprising bulk mailer I can definitely say that inbox rates are low enough... not to mention click rates... multiply that tiny tiny fraction by the also-tiny fraction of people who have adware... OTOH, people with active adware are probably also more likely to click spam links in the first place. Would be very interested in hearing from anyone running this method.

I agree with whatlljk ,PPV pays the least amount per views to earn 1$ you need like 1000000 emails. :)

Somewhat ingenious, but relatively difficult to derive the niche that the spam is in so you're targeting your ads correctly. You would be dealing with a lot of domains every day.

A better way to do it would be if you were sitting on a spam filtering server for a large organization. Then you could actually see which domains were really getting mailed hard and focus just on those.

It sounds interesting and I'm going to run some tests out of curiousity at TV. In concept it sounds good but we'll see if it's worth the time in scraping a bunch of spammy urls.
