i don't understand this.
So you post some PHOTO or VIDEO.. and you don't put any hashtags to it. and you include the link there and some kind of call to action.

Yeah, I do this Pinned Thread and get good traffic and sales from it all the time. Plus I ask for a RT if they find it valuable.
I set it out like a welcome tweet for all visitors on my page and greet them, when they expand the thread they can see value driven articles links, freebies and other social accounts to follow as well as a Contact Us tweet if they have any specific questions.
Works a charm and I've had some surprisingly big orders through it too.
The important part is that it's not to come across as spammy or trying to just sell them something, it's there to suggest what "others" do and how "others" interact with our service/products/page. You know, just placing the crumbs for them to follow
