This method is unproven and I cant guarantee that it is working. I tried it and got some good results. But you can try and check it out by yourself.

Step 1 : Create an article with your brand name in it. Not with your link but with your brand name - ie, if your website is http://adobe.com , you dont include the link in the article. You should just add the word "Adobe" , "Adobe website" , "Adobe site", "adobe.com - just as text not as clickable link" and etc.

step 2 : spin that article and post it in different web 2.0, blog networks and article directories. Since there is no link to your site it wont get you any penalty. This will give a lot of authority your brand name since its mentioned many times in internet.

This idea came to me when I saw this video. So, its not fully theoretical. You can check it out...

Idk how it helps in the way of authority to your website. But, it surely helps to maintain reputation of your brand, you can use unique articles too, if you care more on your brand.

Have you tried it with Scrapebox or Xrumer as well?

How much did the authority improved?

Just to be sure, you're talking about the metric: DA (Domain authority)?

This sounds logical. I would use only positive articles of course, because chances are that they might get ranked.

Not quite sure how true this is. How would it distinguish between TLD? If this were the case, wouldn't sites like Adobe.cc receive the bonuses from regularly using the unanchored phrase 'Adobe'?

I just don't see how Google could have worked this out.

If there is adobe.com with a lot of authority and adobe.cc with no authority, then the articles you post will be considered for adobe.com. Not for adobe.cc

I kind of can confirm this method. I've published some fake "offers" over at craiglist with some of my urls in the plain text some month ago, and I still got trafffic from it. My method was/is like: I'm searching for a cheap laptop which can run "software - link", "software - my link", "software - that link" ?

Not sure if the domain is available, but i think companys like adobe buy all domains with their name on it. It would be dumb if they wouldn't do it.

To improve authority, create profiles on all the major social networks and promote your website URL like crazy.

Get a twitter account with xx.xxx followers, post a link with your URL on facebook and get xxx-xxxx shares/likes/comments, make a youtube channel, get xx.xxx retention views, linked in with lots of friends/connections etc., Google + with lots xx.xxx followers etc.

Do that for all the major networks and have social share buttons on your website and get xxxx+ likes/shares for the buttons and your authority will go way up!!!

Building high PR links helps too. I guess a press release campaign (which is what you are saying) probably works too.

I have always wondered if leaving mywebsite.com as none clickable just text would help, but never wasted my time as I could not really see it helping. Might give it a try on some of my big websites which I do not touch with seo.

Yea as mentioned co citation works. You guys need to understand how, not what, but how google indexes and cross references data found. They look contextually before and after mentions and decide how appropriate or trustworthy it should pass "relevance" to it.

Sure, put on your reading goggles and start parsing through the online patent submissions by google. You will be in for some treats when you start reading through the tech specs
