Hey there BHW. I am going to share an AWESOME way of getting top backlinks up to PR7 (don't be surprised if you get a PR8). This method is something I have been using for a while, and it works AMAZINGLY! ;)

We all know SB is good for MASS linking, and not too good to link to your money site. Well this is manual commenting on blogs. I do the method I will set out below when I'm bored or want a break; YES I backlink while on a break! ;)

I posted a skeleton method earlier today and realised that I had explained myself badly, so I am writing this to REALLY help people!

Code:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/376252-how-get-tons-pr6-backlinks.html

Here is the guide in its full glory!

  1. Set up a myopenID account. Use this link, Verify email and move to the next step.
  2. Assuming you are using a wordpress blog, add new plugin called "MyOpenID Delegation", install and activate.
  3. Set up the plugin by going to Settings --> General and put in your myopenID in the username box at the bottom. GOOD your openID will now link to your URL.
  4. Let's find some high PR blogs to comment on. Newspapers are my favourite source of backlinks as they gain PR VERY quickly! I chose the Independent, PURELY because of the DISQUS commenting system.
  5. Start reading in your free time, and comment on every article. Don't spam, because you may get your ID banned.
  6. When commenting, type out your comment, then click "post as" and click on "OpenID" and use your URL [ http://xxxxxxxxx.com ] and put in your keyword.
  7. Once posted, repeat!

Now here's where we get clever. It's all very well commenting on new articles, but you never know which ones will get good PR in the coming weeks and months. So we let google do the hard work for us. Do all the steps above to get your OpenID as your URL, then follow these steps to get the PR6 PR7 backlinks!

  • Install SEOQuake for firefox or chrome. Edit the settings so that it only shows PR.
  • Go to Google, click settings in the top right corner, turn off instant search and set the results per page to 100. Click save.
  • For the independent, use this footprint:
    Code:
site:independent.co.uk/news -"Comments for this page are closed." inurl:.html
  • Hit search and arrange the results by PR.
  • Comment like crazy, DO NOT SPAM.

You can find other newspapers which use DISQUS, especially american ones.
I don't think I have left anything out, even an 8 year old should be able to do this! :D
If you found this useful, show some appreciation!!

Should be viable now that Googlebot can index Javascript. The Independent links are nofollow though so you'll need to look elsewhere for decent links

Thanks for the heads up, but you can always look for other DISQUS backlinks. many are Do Follow.

Its a nice method for getting small traffic, but the problem is...

Google doesn't index DISQUS comments. You can check it yourself. Take some old post with comments. Copy & paste a sentence from one of the comments into Google search, and see if it can find an exact match.

I doubt its going to index the links if the content is omitted/unaccessible.

Cannot get it to link for some reason. Did all the steps above on both my WP blogs, but no success. Anyone get this to work?

Ok, I have done that:

One of the comments is:
awesome! I recently installed this on my website and the conversation rate of my site and blog posts has gone thru the roof. Google really loves comments powered by dusqus.

if you do a google search for "awesome! I recently installed this on my website and the conversation rate of my site and blog posts has gone thru the roof. Google really loves comments powered by dusqus."

then you'll see the comment has been indexed by google. Though I suspect this site is using the disqus WP plugin, rather than just the javascript implementation (if you turn off js in your browser, the comments are still there).

I would like to note, independent maybe is not the best place. But Disqus comments are good in my opinion.

I am just helping out the community..

Sorry, only one thing I do not understand. How do I comment on articles? If the post is closed?
Perhaps you made a mistake typing:
site: independent.co.uk / news - "Comments are closed for this page." inurl:. html

You wanted to write

site: independent.co.uk / news - "Comments for this page are open." inurl:. html

I would like to say, that SOME Disqus sites are not good, and some are good. For the independent, It is good for traffic.

My brain is buzzing and I will post a new idea either today or tomorrow to do with this method.!!

What if my site is not Wordpress? It's an Xsitepro site can I still using this method?

As far as I can tell Disqus comments are not indexed by G. In fact they are not even 'really' on the webpage.

I have checked loads of comments on that newspaper website and I can't find one that is indexed.

Have you found any of your comments in the serps?

I tried this and my openid doesn't forward to my site. Do you need to configure a domain with openid after you set up the account and install the plugin?

The plugin named simply "MyOpenID" works better.

It worked for me. Did you go into your setting/general and add your OpenID name at the bottom of that page?

You are right about leaving out closed-comment articles, and that's why he uses "-" sign, which simply tells Google not to show closed-comment articles in the result.

Thanks, I appreciate your generosity. How do you know whether the news site uses "DISQUS", and what is DISQUS?

does this mean Disqus comments have SEO value as long as they're do-follow?

Sound like a great method,
But Disqus-Comments are not indexed, and therefore won't have any SEO-Impact. Though it can be good for getting traffic!

You Can check this by...

1.taking a random site using Disqus.
e.g. w w w . blog.disqus.com/post/12895930242/disqus-on-sopa-and-internet-censorship

2. Searching for site: w w w . blog.disqus.com/post/12895930242/disqus-on-sopa-and-internet-censorship

3. View Cached Version >> Text Only

You will see that the comment are not readable for big G

Disqus died out a couple years back.. "Comments powered by Disqus" was the big rave footprint for a month or two and then they caught on.

Is this working for anyone anymore? It was for me for a while, now when I post a comment it just shows my username with no link.
