I have not yet tried this method myself and I have not seen it posted as I have been reading through the forum so I thought I would throw this idea out there and let others put their form of twist to it. If this is out there already then credit to the ones who have posted it already. I have been asked by quite a few people about how to not get their Tumblr account banned over and over again when using click through links to their affiliate link. The absolute best way to prevent this would be to build a self-hosted site and actually provide content along with your affiliate offers, but this may be a way around it.

    What you will need:
Tumblr account in any niche(multiple to scale it)
    Affiliate offers
Domain name (can be named anything but try and pick 1 niche and make a similar name)

    Optional:

Tumblr bot. There are many to choose from out there.
    Picloadr (website)
    Extra domains
    Proxies

    Method:
First thing you are going to do is decide on what niche you are going to use. Do some research and just use your brain for this step. Clickbank or other affiliate networks have plenty of tools built in to help you make these decisions. Once you have found a good offer that you want to use save that link. We will come back to this later.

Once you have found a niche come up with a domain that will work well in that niche. Try to make it something general but still relatable. This will help you later on. (ie. if you choose a weight loss product don't choose a domain like hydroxycut dot com, but instead use something like weightlossnow dot com)

Create your tumblr account/accounts and start building followers. Plenty of bots can help with this or you can do it manually by liking, following and reblogging other blogs within your niche. Think outside the box here as well. I personally wouldn't start posting a my link until I had a couple thousand followers. This shouldn't take to long if you are proactive about it.

Alright so now that we have a domain, affiliate offer, and some form of traffic source let's get to the making money part.

Go back to where you registered your domain name and go into the settings. Simply redirect your domain to which ever affiliate offer you will be promoting. Now go into your tumblr and queue up a couple hundred posts with the help of services such as picloadr or tumblr bot. Use your domain name as your click through link for each image and put some sort of caption that might intrigue followers to click your link.

If you decide you aren't getting the conversions you are looking for just go find another offer. You should already have the followers in the niche that you are working in so just go back to your domain, and change the redirect link. Now all your traffic will be sent to this new offer.

As I said I haven't tried this method so I can't say for sure that it won't get you banned but I think it is less likely to get banned when you have an actual domain. As always make sure to think outside the box and try and add twists to it to make it more profitable. There are plenty of other methods that this would work for as well. Feel free to add anything that you think I may have missed.

    Good luck out there!!

I've been doing this thing few months ago, got some easy cash, I used to automate using iMacros. I am looking for a bot that automates the following/like/comment process. Can't find anything relevant here on BHW, instead I've found xTumble Bot (google for it). Maybe you can recommend me a bot that works.

LE: There is also a bot from Monster Social that looks ok.

I have not used bots for any of my tumblr work yet. I am also looking for something to help manage my accounts. xTumble is very pricey, however, it seems like it is really well put together. I wanted to try prTrafficBooster but it looks like they stopped sales to do some updates to it and they said "don't know when it will be released".

If anyone else has ideas on tumblr bots to help with this process feel free to post and help some people out!

How can I go past 1000 followers? I reached the maximum number of people that I can follow and I can't follow other people. Should I unfollow the accounts who are not following me? I think there has to be another way to get followers other than gaining 30+ followers a day.
