Meta refresh redirect

    I've got a great domain on webs.com that I would like to redirect to my money site. The only way to do it though is through a meta refresh.

    Some people say that it works just as good as a 301 - some say that google doesn't like it.

    Is it a bad idea?

    You could do the same with javascript, I'd be surprised if webs.com wouldn't allow that either, but I doubt that would pass any backlinks over like a 301 would in either event. It'd only redirect traffic in my opinion.

    It also creates a really crappy user experience. You arrive at a page and for a second you are there only to be removed and taken somewhere else. Very frustrating.
