    What are they??

I've been doing this long and hard (that's what she said) search for a merchant account with great rates but that can be used with eBay and I've found a ton with craptastic rates, but then I found Charge.com, which has incredible rates and I just don't know whether I can use it with eBay or not.

As long as I use the Payflow Gateway with my merchant account, am I golden? But how do I get the merchant account approved if it's not directly affiliated with eBay and I don't have a free-standing site of my own like they're looking for?

    Stupid, stupid, complicated eBay.

Well so does Paypal and basically everything else...guess the question is: Are there any account providers out there that haven't been labeled as scammers at some point during their business by some unlucky customer?

I've found some great reviews of Charge.com as well, so what am I supposed to trust?!

Do you mean payment processor? If so Egay owns and only allows PP.Saw it in their terms somewhere.

I have even gotten requests for moneygram from ebay. Ebay approves many other third party payment gateways, although not many people would use it.

Yes, you can use charge.com with ebay. I know people that have been using it just fine.

They allow about 5 different forms of payment- not just PP- and one of them is to receive CC payments through - yes- a payment processor, such as a merchant account.

Yeah, Charge.com just called me and was very enthusiastic about helping me do business on eBay. Sounds good to me. I just kept on searching for threads on here that could help me out, but people always recommend these merchant accounts with ridiculous rates and pickier approvals.

I've been doing moneybookers for the past week but their "rolling reserve" and "settlement period" are pretty ridiculously sucktastic unless you're a superhuman eBay powerseller. I've got about $100 locked up in there for 40 days. It's real awesome. So yes- trying to knock them out of the equation.

Alright so now I've gotten everything set up with Charge.com and Payflow as my gateway (after seriously calling around in a circle and chasing tails for about a week), and I get the email FROM eBay saying "Payflow's good to go, you can now start listing items and accepting CC payments."

Too bad that's a lie, because- even after everything I've gone through to get things squared away- they still require me to fax my merchant processor statement. I JUST set all of this up- I don't HAVE a statement because I haven't sold anything. So I need to doctor this, obviously, because eBay is literally forcing me to.

Any suggestions/templates/whatever would be highly, highly appreciated.
