Have been looking around and saw Memberfire, is it any good before read some posts that its shit and that there are better, and I can't get it installed either..

Please post some reviews on membership sites that really rocks!

Otherwise it will be joomla with an membership extension :)

    Thanks in advance!

I tried various membership software, including MemberFire but found all to be lacking with the exception of aMember.

    Have you looked at aMember?

I have tried it and it seems to work quite well.

It is used on many membership sites.

You should be able to find a nulled version on BHW.

Did I request software? No, please read what I ask, I asked any reviews on membership sites.

And later on I asked a site where aMember is running, I know I can find a demo at the official site, but I was asking for the site of a member.

    Thank you

There are a lot of membership sites running aMember. I do have a site running it but sorry, I am not prepared to share the url.

Some of the other scripts, especially the newer ones require PHP5. If you already have a site running on that particular server you may need to consider the incompatibilities you may encounter if you upgrade to PHP5.

Amember allows you to protect any folder/s already previously setup on your server. Other scripts do not or may not allow that.

Yes, aMember is expensive compared to the others which may be free or cost only $17 but its worth it.

When you purchase aMember, they give you a 3 months temporary license key. After 3 months, if you do not ask for a refund, you will then be issued with a permanent key. It can only be used on one domain although you may protect any number of folders you create.

If I recall correctly, Memberfire protects a default folder it creates. I did explore it further as I had problem installing it on my server.

Download the trial copy of aMember or search for a copy in here and give try. I am sure you will find it easy to install and the features are better than the rest.

I like Joomla with the Joomsuite JMember component installed. Easy to setup and you can basically lock down any part of the Joomla site with it. You can alos use it to create pay access to parts of your site running other components like Moset Tree, etc.

Easy to setup different membership levels of content as well.

Dude, this is no way to increase you post count by simply making comments about peoples search abilities or lack thereof. You don't have enough posts here on this forum to be able to join the "post police" yet  Everyone knows that the search function on this forum leaves some to be desired but even if he didn't, "teach not berate" and be polite about it when you do...when I see posts like that I want to puke.

aMember is definately preferred over Memberfire here. I haven't seen Joomla extension you are referring to so can't comment on that in comparison.
