I am putting together a membership website and need a tool suggestions.

I'll dump in a large group of contacts into the system and the tool should allow me to show only certain fields to the public. Companies can then buy a listing and pay to have more info shown such as phone, website, or email.

It will also be nice if people can do it based on state or zipcode.

It needs to have a payment module so that I can bill monthly or annually.

Does anyone do this and do you have any suggestions?

I want it to integrate into Wordpress if possible.

Thanks.

Any suggestions? I posted this pretty late last night.

This is the last time I will bump this. I'm hoping that someone chimes in.

Thanks!

I'm not sure this is the thing you are looking for but it is a directory script for wordpress that allows different categories of listings.

Free, paid, featured listings etc and allows monthly and annual payment.

However, customizing it is a chore.

I'm trying to set up something quite similar and am using Amember which costs $180 but is apparently one of the best membership management things out there.

Thanks guys for the recommendations. I've been looking at DirectoryPress but unless I am missing something, it has more of the look and feel of a link building directory than a business directory. I'll continue to look at it though.

I've heard of Amember but completely forgot about it. I'll be happy to pay $180 if it does what I need it to do.

I'm not looking for one that sets a fee based on the number of contacts (unless the price is low) as I have over 300k contacts that I will dump into it.

Thanks again.

Hey guys - just an update.

I'm pretty sure I found the solution... or at least I hope.

eDirectory [.com] appears to do everything I need it to do. There is a monthly and one-time payment options. It's $1800 but if it works as well as I plan, it will be worth it.

Also, I found out that I do not need a "Membership" manager, I need a "Business Directory" manager. I guess all of the membership stuff is for backend CMS and eDirectory is for both.

Maybe this update will help someone in the future.
