    Hey Guys,

I have a potential client that is looking for SEO to a new site that is similar to Gilt.com, a members only website.

I wanted to know if these types of sites are actually hurt from getting their pages indexed properly since there is a restriction on the entrance.

If so, what do you recommend?

    Thanks for your help.

    Nivo

I have a member only site, 11 public pages and over 250 inner pages. A blog helps but overall, no, it has never been effected. I ran it for 2+ years without the blog and have, obviously (11 pages), less than a handful of blog posts.

Classify the website in Google as a eCommerce website, set up proper goals, submit to Webmaster (Bing as well) and run it.

I also have a pay (adult) site. The bots can't get passed the credit card page so yes most of my site and potential SEO is completely hidden. What I did at cuntrybabes is to build up my free pages with everything I could think of without giving away the farm. Remember even if your site is picture and video oriented (such as mine) keep the words flowing onto the free pages as much as possible. I managed to get on page 5 of google for one of the toughest keywords out there (amateur porn).
