    Hey Guys,

I was wondering around last night on Google and reading different stuff where I came across idea about why not to blog on Medical category?

So what do you guys think about medical niches and how could one monetize it?

Do be a part of it.

    Thanks.

Medical category is one of the high CPC categories. Cancer and other disease keywords are the most CPC keywords. There is number of ways to monetize medical niche blog:

    1. Google Adsense
    2. Text link ads
    3. Direct advertising

You will have to choose a niche much more specific than "medical," or it'll be near impossible to rank for your main keyword.

I have a health-related site and it has a very nice average CPC.

"Medical" would be a meta niche, the actual niches are more specific ailments that people have. There is a fortune to be made in just about any individual medical niche, and the great thing about working in medical is that it's quite logical to join your own niche sites together.

It's a great field to be in, high CPCs and the customers are generally highly motivated to do something about their health.

I predominantly advertise physical products (pay per sale) and CPA offers for some stuff too (eg. medical insurance, life insurance etc). I'm not a big fan of Adsense. Generic drugs are also a huge huge market with high payouts if you can stomach the risk.

One disadvantage is that for short tails you're up against some extremely powerful sites eg. mayoclinic and all the universities and government health sites.

Good niche, no doubt... high CPC, just be sure you pick something that is allowed by G if you are planing to monetize it via adsense, they are very picky when it comes to health.
If you want to talk about specific diseases and it's treatment you can even place direct advertising banners.
    Good luck

I have 4 sites on medical niche (disease specific).

I have been monitorizing 2 with CPA offers and the other 2 with Adsense. You can expect around $2 daily with a good CTR if you have around 100 visitors daily.

If you have 100 visitors daily and even if you have 0.5%-1% conversion rate, you should earn somewhere around $30-$45 daily if you find a good product for your niche. Check out with "Market Health". Good luck.. !

I have many sites in this area and lately several of them where (I presume) checked manually and 2 were "demoted". I managed to get one of them back to (almost) the old spot, but the other one is nowhere to be found.

Make sure you balance your text with ads - I think my ratio wasn't too great...

Manual review is a bitch, you don't know who you get, if they got it last night, if their coffee wast to cold or any other reason.

Adsense pays extremely well in the Health niche. Go for that.
