Anyone ever dealt with MediaWiki and has some suggestions in the beginning?

I have to add that I run it on a Wind0ws Server 2008, so that makes it all harders and probably I have to code everything on my own.

    regards,
    Albaniax

Listen mate I know there is Lot of good sayings about Mediawiki and there were times as well when I was carried away by those words and started experimenting on it.

My Experiments results are as follows ::

    1) Open chain MediaWiki creations can do no wonder.

    2) Custom Media wiki chaining can bring some results that too for less targeted niches and for lower competitive keywords.

    3) When doing link building you can just combine few media wikis along with Article directories ,web 2.0 sites as well as high PR forum profile link just for The Link Diversity In SEO.It will appear more natural in Big G's eye..thatz it.

For Me personally all my MediaWiki fever has came down.

    PS NOTE
The above mentioned statements are purely made, based on my experiments and should never be taken as a direct offence to others' thoughts/Opinions as in the field of SEO thoughts and results both may vary.I would be pretty happy if someone got good results with Media wiki.

    Thanks for your reply.

It's actually for a site which is already ranking good, but still young. MediaWiki is installed on sub-directory.

I'm going to put some big content on there, which is going to be worth enough for sharing.

The rest of the site is only capturing leads/sales, where you can't wait for the links like Gougle suggests

Nevertheless, I already found the right tutorials and figured out at how to handle extensions.
