Mechanical or Membrane Keyboards?

As recently suggested by a member on here, I got an external keyboard for my standing desk set up.

The only one I could find in the house was a mechanical one.

I've never used mechanical keyboards before, but I must say, I really like it.


Do you use membrane or mechanical keyboards, and why?

I had a mechanical kb phase. I'd wake everyone up by just typing. Now back to normal logitechs.
 
Membrane here, just a simple Microsoft kb, if you do a lot of typing then get a membrane one
had mechanical one for a couple of months but my fingers were getting so fucking tiered and that constant clicking sound is also annoying as fuck
 
Membrane = the "normal" one, right?

Anyhow, I use a mechanical one. But this time I chose red switches, I liked it to begin with but now I think they sound too much. Might switch to blue ones soon...

To everyone looking to get a new keeb - I recommend a 65% one. Feels so much nicer, looks nicer on the table and all the dumb buttons are gone. I'm a programmer and I have had mine for 1yr+, not missed a single button since hehe

Most comfrtable I've ever used
 
I have a membrane keyboard. Quieter, easier to press millions of times
 
Mechanical. It has a lot more customisation options and I find the switches last way longer than membrane.
 
I use this one, since I can easily switch between two laptops and also has a function that allows me to just move to another laptop just by moving the scroll into the right or left side.

Mechanical keyboard for me. I don't think I've ever used a membrane keyboard. :oops:
