    Yesterday i post my reply of .info

    wow now got .me domain extension...

    Honestly speaking....Most internet surfers prefer .com and .net

    for others type of extension... it might be cheap...but i am sure for ranking in search engines...it is not affected...unless i am wrong here...

    Thanks

    Peter

    Although Google doesn't disclose these types of details, the extension is widely believed to be irrelevant in its affect on ranking.

    I'm pretty sure that domain extension plays a noteable factor in ranking... When's the last time you've seen a .me rank in the search engines or .tk or .name ...... Just about NEVER.

    If I had to say then best - worst it would be:

    1) .com
    2) .net
    3) .org
    4) .info

    * Excludes not publicly available extensions such as .gov , .edu , etc.
    * List is by no means complete and there are probably gaps in between in certain areas
    * Applies to USA only

    I bought the domain www.xxxyyyyzzzz.me about 1-2 months ago. I have 2 pages indexed. and 13 backlinks. I am currently ranking 64th on google.com for my keyword which is [xxxxx yy zzzzz] over 800k pages. I think its a pretty good result since I only wrote 2 articles and only have 13 backlinks.

    jeah .me is very new - since july 08 you cant mess up with all the coms indexed 10+ years and now a half year me domain you will mess with a 10+ year .com domains - thats crayz! .me is very young, the ending is irrelevant! i have a domains since 2 years its .eu i beat with a very popular key (+ 900mil. pages) all .net .org .com and others :)

    the answer is no. ".Me" is a country domain (Montenegro). If you want to rank high in that country zone than is good, but if you want to compet with international domains like com, net, org. then is not good.
    They did to much advertising for this extension but is the same thing like .sc, .de, .in and other .
