Maybe I am being impatient but...

I couldn't get my blogs indexed in Google, Yahoo or any other search engines. I read that I shouldn't fill out the form since it is way too slow. I tried bookmarking like crazy but it still won't come out.

Should I keep on waiting for a day or so, or should I use other measures (like article spamming?)

How old is your blog ? and what platform (WP, bloggers, MT) you are using ? Normally new blogs get indexed in 2-3 days at the most. Here is one little trick :

Write an interesting post on a hot topic of today. See yahoo buzz etc for currents trends. Once your write it, submit it to at least 10 social bookmarking sites. Your blog will be indexed within 24 hours in all probability.

What do you mean? Are you saying that blogs with more competitive keywords get indexed quicker?

My unindexed Blogspot page deals instead with uncompetitive keywords like art and painting techniques. And it has been 5 days.

I don't know what is going on here, but I have a gut feeling that Google and Yahoo won't index any one-page free affiliate sites....

I don't think there is any time limit to when google or the others will index your site.
I've had some get indexed in a day or so because they had links from my popular sites, but others with the same links took a month or so to show up in the index.

No I don't mean that blogs with "more competitive keywords' get indexed quickly.I mean blogs with "recent hot topics" get indexed quickly. Let me tell you an example :

A few days ago share market in India boomed to some unbelievable new heights. There was a craze among buyers to purchase as much stock as they could. Obviously people were searching Google for the reason behind this boom. I simply read some detailed newspapers report and write an informative article explaining the reasons behind this boom. Within 24 hours my post was in the top 10 of Google for some related words. Got my point ? Stock market in India is not a very competitive word. However, when it became a hot topic and I cashed on it. Simple.

Well let me tell you two more tricks to get into Google fast :

(1) Join the Adsense and put the code in your blog template. This ensures that Google come and index your blog.

(2) On your iGoogle page (the customized google page just like MyYahoo) add a widget which display RSS feed. In that widget, enter the address of your blog's feed. Soon Google will index your blog as it will have to crawl your blog to get it's feed.

In my opinion your blog has been indexed by Google, however, it is yet to send a visitor to you. As you wrote yourself, painting and arts are the main theme of your blog. I think you need to write some more posts on a varieties of topics to attract some visitors.

Putting a link on any high traffic site should do the trick - myspace, digg, etc.

Get some goood links to Your blog and wait few days !!!

Slim Ghost, Its really easy to get listed quickly on google if you join their google team, here's what l mean, blogger is owned by google and at the beginning googles spiders were all over blogger and you would get listed fast even for one page but people cauht on and abused the blog and pig so as blogger got established google slowed the indexing down.

Now their current hot program they own is their very own googlepages which are free, you can have as many as you want, they are trying to fight back to msn live pages and as a result googles spiders are all over googlepages so give it a go, of course it helps if you do a few articles for the links regards nicho

pow3ll -- i tried that source months ago... and just a moment ago... it never worked for me. it's confusing to me when it says please add 5 and 0... etc. what is up with that section. it changes i believe but what am i doing wrong? thanks.

Make sure to use wordpress too...GOogle loves the wordpress!

I've heard good things about googlepages, too. However, they seem to be real strict and will delete commercial or spammy pages quickly.

whenever you are making Blogger blogs and monetizing with Adsense and/or affiliate promotions, make sure to add a couple posts with good quality content, then add your monetization. This always helps me. My blogger blogs usualy are indexed and showing in the SERP's within a few days. If you just throw up your blog and immediately throw adsense and other ads on there, Google will most likely consider that blog spam. You can also submit the blog's url to all 3 search engines, but I find MSN only wors the fastest and best, and don't forget to ping after avery post.
