I'm starting a project for which I have all the content and data. It's going to be a fresh site with a fresh domain. I've heard about the search engine sandboxing so I would like to make sure I do all this right and need your advice.

I will have about 2 million pages total.

    1. How many pages should I have in the beginning before I generate sitemap and submit the site to search engines?
    2. What's the maximum number of pages I can load per day after initial launch?

Any other advise is also greatly appreciated.

What kind of content will it have? Unique or curated?

I don't think anyone can say there's a 'maximum' number of pages for launch. Just don't make it shitty content, and you'll be all good.

if it is unique content then 300 pages for you will be enough.

you can put up a few thousand pages
but backdate them over the last few months.

so when google indexes the site it looks like a natural thing

I publish 10 articles initially and then publish 2-3 articles per week. It can increase if the size of my website is to be large.

I have over a million pages to publish. At that rate I will never publish them.

There isn't a set number of pages to launch with and the drip-feed rate will depend on the type of site, type of content and what your goal is. But a good ball-park I can give you is no more than 1 article a day to look natural. Maybe through in a few days with more, etc.

    Good luck!
