So a good friend of mine had 1.6 million views on his YT video about 6-7 months ago. As of today it's a little over 3.7 mil. These are all organic views with lots of people subscribing, commenting, etc. He's making decent money from YT's monetization, but he has no concept about other means of making money from it. I have some background in marketing but would be considered a beginner in internet marketing. I'm thinking that driving viewers to his personal website/blog and monetizing that site would be a start. Also I figured selling tshirts from his site is a good option. Perhaps dropship them until we see how many people are actually buying and then bulk order and ship ourselves to increase profit margins if it's viable. Does anyone else have any ideas on how to maximize the profit potential of his video? When it comes to monetizing his personal website/blog I'd even have to google around on how to properly do that, but if you have some basics for that I'd appreciate it too. Thanks in advance!

I figure a non-obnoxious link in the top line of the description and/or annotation at the beginning of the video wouldn't be too bad. I'm not imagining that we'll get rich off t-shirts or any other methods, but I figure there's got to be something we can do to add to just basic monetization. He's making around 2k/month off that. I figure if I can help him add another 1k/month that would be worth it. Any more than that is a bonus.

Yep, people hate advertising that's why they shun Google, YouTube and Facebook. No advertising there.

I would definitely put up a relevant web link.
