The past two days I had over 6000 clicks and somewhere between 50 and 70 actions. yesterday I got over 1000 clicks and 0 actions. Does mb just stop counting actions for some reason? or is the conversion really just being that horrible today and its a coincidence? haha

Would like to hear if someone on this forum works for them. See what their reasoning would be. I have similar problems and it is just ridiculous for them to shave that much money off. If couple of leads here and there. But not over half LOL

    Maxsteve is Steve Trask?

If he is I would like to know why most of the campaigns from you guys have problems.

IMO MaxBounty sucks...they are kinda shave-happy and tend to jack people at the first opportunity. Others have different experiences, but for me, I'm not a fan.

MB is a terrible network. They do shave like motherf*ckers and they cheat you in any way they can get away with.

I disagree. They've always been rather decent to me, maybe because I'm not trying to screw them out of money?

Maxbounty is one of good network, if you do whitehat, but still don't put all your eggs in one basket. Spread it to several cpa network.

I never filled out my own offers, or did fraud CC. I just promoted. They always seem to find a way, reason, or excuse to take my earnings down. Sometimes without warning or explanation. I am set up with all the other major networks, none of them pull that crap on me. Good to hear its working out for you there.

I've explained this in another thread, but I'll go through this again. MaxBounty DOES NOT SHAVE LEADS! Anyone here who thinks a reputable network shaves leads is not thinking logically. Let me use an example $100/month affiliate and go through two situations - shaving and not shaving, with us making a 15% margin on leads.

Situation 1: Shaving (Hypothetical only - we don't shave)
    - Affiliate makes $100 in month #1. Starting month #2 we shave so he makes no money. Mid-month, affiliate gets pissed off and leaves MaxBounty forever. He would have made $50 if we weren't shaving.
    - Month #1 we made $15 profit (15% of $100)
    - Month #2 we made $50 profit (shaved all leads)
    - Grand total we made: $65 profit
    - Affiliate goes to boards complaining about shaving
    - Affiliate complains to his friends who also do IM

    Situation #2 - Not shaving
    - Affiliate makes $100 in month #1. Month #2 affiliate makes $100 again. Same thing all the way through month #12.
    - Each month we made $15 profit (margin)
    - Grand total we make $180 profit ($15 * 12 months)
    - Affiliate is happy
    - Affiliate possibly picks up other campaigns and does more business

So, as a network, which do you think we'd rather? $65 and an angry, complaining affiliate who'll never work with us again? Or $180 and a happy affiliate who'll look to us when he's looking for more campaigns to increase his revenue?

Obviously we want the long term happy affiliate. Thinking we'd throw that away for a quick $65 is not thinking logically. It's not thinking long term, which is the way we think having launched in 2004. It's basically thinking stupid (pardon the expression).

Do campaigns ever have problems (broken landing page, lost pixel, etc.)? Sure they do. We act on those campaigns when they're reported to us, and when it's obvious there is a problem. We lose out when a campaign isn't tracking properly because we ONLY GET PAID WHEN YOU DO. So when a campaign stops tracking, guess what, we're losing money too.

Who knows if the campaign the OP was running has a problem. He decided he'd post on a board instead of contacting us to have us look into the problem - so I certainly can't tell.

Do we ban affiliates? Yes, we sometimes do when they break our terms and conditions. Those terms and conditions are there for a reason. Yes, to protect MB and to protect merchants. But also to protect affiliates. Affiliates that insist on generating fraudulent leads (i.e. GodCPA, CakeSlice, fake job ads, fake apartment ads, secret submit, incenting non-incent offers) make things worse for other affiliates.

How? Fraud leads affect the profitability of campaigns, forcing merchants to lower their CPA rates to keep themselves afloat. So where an insurance quote campaign might have paid $10.00/lead, they instead pay $8.00/lead because 20% of the leads they're getting are fraud. So anyone who isn't using fraudulent means to generate leads are suffering because of the actions of those who chose to defraud merchants.

In some cases, instead of lowering CPA rates, some merchants will just decide to pull campaigns altogether. So a campaign that is making decent revenue for a WH affiliate is pulled out from other them because of the actions of others.

I guarantee you this: every single person that was banned from MaxBounty was banned because they were breaking terms. Despite what they might claim when they post here, our terms were broken. I stand behind every decision that I've made and will defend it publically if anyone is interested. If it turns out I made a mistake, I can be reasonable. If an affiliate comes clean (privately of course), I'm sometimes willing to give a second chance and let them back in to the network.

Bottom line - I've worked damned hard over the years to bring MaxBounty where it is. I didn't get here making stupid, irrational, illogical decisions. I didn't get here ripping people off, and I didn't get here thinking short term. As I've read on many posts on BHW, BH is good for quick short term cash, but the long term cash is in WH. Why would I employ BH tactics in my dealings with affiliates?

I have been and I continue to be in this for the long term only.

MB does NOT shave. MB does NOT boot for no reason.

I understand this MaxSteve, although this doesn't explain my situation, or what seems to be MANY other peoples situations.

This doesn't help either. Nothing can be done when I don't know who you are, what campaign you ran, what methods you used, etc. You should speak with your AM to get answers. Coming to the board might get you a lot of people who'll join a pile-on, but it certainly isn't going to help your situation.

maxbounty is a great network.. remember that everyday is not the same as yesterday..

    Day 1 you get 6000 clicks & 70 convertion

    Day 2 you get 2000 clicks & 50 convertion

    Day 3 you get 5000 clicks & 10 convertion

it really depends on your traffic.. your traffic is not the same as yesterday

    goodluck bro

I did email my AM already. Although I redirected my traffic to a similar type of offer, and instantly getting conversions. I'm certain theres something up with MB. :(

    Steve,

I am curious. How much of your time is spent searching the internet and doing damage control?

Also, does MaxBounty plan to be at any industry events in the coming months?

    Thanks
