Maxbounty just banned me for fraud, and the leads they complained about were all legitimate. They did not back out so they said it was all fraud. I did pay a guy to do leads but he said they were real. Could they try to prosecute me, or do they let it go since I got no money?

i doubt ... not worth it going through all the hassle - they would pay to much (court fees ... lawayer fees etc.) which at the end has no result for them ... still try to not fraud companies if you get at the wrong person you might get into deep trouble

What I like to do is spread out my "iffy" leads across several networks, I never go over $50-60 daily per network. That way you stay under the radar and its not worth it for them to take legal action against you.

I don't see why they would anyways, never seen that happen. Unless you're pulling $1-2k daily from fraudulent leads.

Maxbounty is a giant PITA. Don't worry about it. You won't be getting locked up any time soon, lol.

F 'em and work with some better CPAs.

Just follow Flyboys advice if you're doing any form of bh lead gen and you'll be fine.

chump change. according to my calculations you have exactly a 1 in 9,944,324,398,754,254,324,323 chance of doing jail time.

I've never heard of anybody going to jail over 'fraudulent' leads before. The worst that I've seen happen is what did happen to you. Get terminated from the network and not be paid.

Having a Signature that says "Get paid to fill out a cpa-pm me" that goes to a banner farm page with MaxBounty linnks probably isnt the brightest idea either.

You do know this is a public forum that Affiliate Managers frequent quite often right

But with that said, you have nothing to worry about outside of a ban and no $$.

And I agree with catspurley. Maxbounty is a pain. They were one of the first networks to terminate affiliates that used myspace traffic. They are pretty hardcore about that kind of stuff which is why I don't use them anymore.

You are worrying over nothing they won't / can't prosecute. The reason I say can't prosecute is that you haven't profited at all (i.e. received any money - as they keep that if they bounce you).

What Maxbounty do is send you an email saying that the clicks are fraudulent, or that you have incentivized an offer that shouldn't have neen, keep your money and bounce you from the network. Then you never hear from them again :)

Well that is good as long as he is not an undercover, but Neverblue just told me to remove traffic after 3 leads in 2 months, and as far as I know they were good. But he knew about them too, so that got me worried, all in the same time frame you know. But if you say he is cool, then I take your word for it.

I'd be willing to bet you were caught because of your signature.

I was banned also for legitimate clicks, I would just stay away from Max Bounty, maybe they will get the message.

Yeah, really now dude, come on... You're making it all too easy for ANY CPA company to ban you. Think things through a little better next time and you'll find better success.

tbenny if maxbounty eventually sends you to .... make sure you dont pick up the soap (lol just kidding). Don't bother yourself they have bounced you from there network and moved on, they wont take you to court
