What type of guidelines do you guys follow for links in an article? Like how many links do you put in or do you just judge it off the relevance that the reader would need those links?

Or how many links could you put in an article before they begin to devalue?

Imagine the linking article have a certain amount of value it can give out. So if you link to 2 sites you would give 50% of the value to site #1 and 50% of the value to site #2.

    EDIT:

The indiviual value given to each site would be determained if the article is relevant. If your article was about cats and you link to site #1(Cat website) and to site #2(dog website). Site #1 would probaly gain more because it was relevant.

Great info. I'm also thinking as long as the the link is relevant the juice will be split evenly
