The city it happened in (Binghampton) is less than an hours drive south of me. It's a pretty small town, about 50,000 people, and not much going on. It's strange when something like this happens close by, or relatively close by. I'm use to seeing it "someplace else". Makes you think.

Yeah, im about an hour away from binghamton too, in syracuse...i cant believe i found out about this on BHW ...I never watch TV and dont get a daily paper.

and nothing about the reports shows that they "were mexicans who jumped the border" they were immigrants who were taking citizenship classes...that means most likely they immigrated legally

Another sad day in the United States. The years lately have been full of them.

I used to live about an hour north of Binghamton (Syracuse) but now live in Nova Scotia Canada. It is so sad to see all of those innocent lives destroyed.

And once again, there are hints of cover-up when these tragedies happen. I was following the story from lunchtime this morning, when reports repeatedly emphasized that two people were apprehended. Then, magically word was pronounced there was only one gunman, who shot himself, and the earlier arrests were denied. What gives?

Ten years ago, same thing, the early reports of the Columbine shooting said three gunmen, and the third guy was even shown in cuffs on MSNBC. Is the preferred official story narrative always a one or two gunman deal, regardless of the facts reported?

Best thing I've ever done in life was to stop watching/reading the mainstream news. Most depressing life limiting stuff you can read.
