Im scaling an article submission formula and need to work in mass plagarism checker. I know copyscape is the best, but you have to copy and paste articles in order to check them. Im basically having content written in text files and need them all checked for plagarism before begin sumbitted. Does copyscape check text files or is there another thats accurate and fast ? Emphasis on accuracy first, then speed...

You could make a script perhaps that does this for you automatically. Perhaps even a macro.

Thats a good start. This solution would still prompt them to check the results manually one by one after running the script, they might as well copy and paste if theyre running a macro. Im trying to set this up for a VA. Id rather have them use a program solution but this is a good step in the automated direction. This is the only part I seem to not be able to automate smoothly to date

I would think teachers need something similar. I find it hard to believe they copy and paste their info from their students papers 1-by-1

You can have the copyscape result pulled off the site and stored into a file.

Filename1 - 40%
Filename2 - 100%

etc

then thats the route im going. the script makes perfect sense...or cents should say :)

I am a project supervisor and have to check papers on regular basis. Previously I used one popular paid plagiarism checker. Then, one of my friends told me about aafter.com free plagiarism checker. Now, I can check any written article to see whether it has similarity with any other pages on the internet.

To use this feature, I have to type *** (3 stars) and then paste 'The Document' in the AAfter's search box. The search result shows the links to WebPages, if any, that contains similar text as that of the document. I can check as many articles as I need without signing up and installing any software.
 
Good info here. For school we used to have to use turnitin.com for plagiarism checking. It was a little buggy but the algorithm it used scanned the documents for 3 or 4 words together. It was helpful though to de-plagiarize a document though.
