masking affiliate links can hurt your wensite rank?

i'm setting my first site (wordpress money site) with many affiliate links on it!
i made many researchs and find only useless infos if someone care to share his experience with me (mean with us) will be very nice thing.

So my question is if i use gocodes or other plugin to hide my aff links,does all i need to prevent G penality?or need something else?

Need just know how the others(competitors) do that.

No, they will not hurt your ranking. Usually it's better to mask them, for some reason people don't seem to want to buy from an AFF link.
 
thanks Realign02,do you have sites like that?i mean with many aff links.
want invest time and money on ranking this site so i want make sure before it will be waste of both (money+time):)
 
I don't do nearly as much affiliate marketing as I used to. I tend to create my own products and have affiliates market them for me :) (Much more money to be made)

The answer to your question is, yes; I do have a few aff marketing sites. The cleaner the link looks ie (redirect) the better it will convert.
 
i promote cpa offers so only thing i'm worry about is the Big G penality as you know it doesn't like aff links at all and robot can access and rise red flag u know can sign Bim here is an aff site;)
 
Any good way to mask them on a blogger blog, or just use something like tinyurl?
 
i think tinyurl can't solve this issue,so if you plan to rank higher you need to look for other solution.
 
in my opinion it hurts your site to NOT have your links masked.

I'm not totally sure i understood what you said, but i would suggest using a plugin to mask your URLs, not url shorteners.
 
There's a wordpress plugin called SEO ultimate that has built in URL masking. It can change links in any post to the form of
Code: 
yourdomain.com/go/keywordswhatever
 
How would one mask the URLs in an HTML website? I have 3 sites that are monetized exclusively through promoting affiliate products which are beginning to rank, but have not masked the affiliate links.

I removed the affiliate links from the home page on one of them as I read to do this until the site is ranked high on the first page.
 
In my experience having direct affiliate links will not affect your ranking unless they are really dodgy sites full of malware and spyware and been complained about.
Having said that, you still want to mask your affiliate links as people just don't like buying from affiliate links.
Hopefully you are using paid hosting, if not and you want to be serious then you have to have paid hosting ( i suggest hostgator )
Assuming you have paid hosting there is a great free link cloaker that i use that will fully mask your affiliate link ( And it works in a HTML site as well ). Even if people look at your page source it will be encrypted.
Just go to google and type in "profit protector".
Near the top you will see a site with the headline:

Free HTML Tool - Profit Protector Affiliate Link Cloaker


Click on that and follow the instructions.

Yeah I've got paid hosting with 123reg. Thanks a lot for the free tool, im following instructions now :)
 
I think it is best to cloak the affiliate link, to help protect you from persons trying to bypass your links. It will not help much if your site rank high and everybody bypasses your affiliate links then you will not have any sales.

You are not supposed to put links in your posts in this forum unless your a paid member so i showed you how to google it and which headline to click on.
