I've floated around BHW for quite some time now, always finding great information. Now it's time to dig in my heels and get down to business.

To give you a quick overview of my background, I've chased the idea of making money online for quite some time now. I started with doing paid ad gigs on my blogs (from Blogsvertise) but ended up ditching it because I wasn't enjoying it and, to be honest, the grammar in the ads absolutely pissed me off. From there, I tried starting up a couple of niche blog sites, one of which was a natural beauty product review site. These weren't 200 words reviews and copied pictures from the net... I went all-out because it was something I truly enjoyed. The only problem was that I invested plenty of money into products, but received almost no steady traffic or returns on affiliate links in over a year.

    Yup, very disheartening.

I decided not to renew the review site. Instead, I sought out an online writing job, and I'm currently writing for two technology websites on a daily basis. However, this is only bringing in around $300-$400 per month depending on assignments I receive, which definitely isn't enough to survive off of. However, I enjoy it immensely. I would like to do more, though, which is why I'm seeking out the help and support of the BHW community.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To start, I resurrected an old YouTube account which was meant to post video reviews of iPhone and Android apps. The intent is to build off of the experience I have working with technology. I uploaded two videos a couple days ago and purchased a "premium lite" subscription on HitLeap. I have a bit of experience with traffic sites, but I've never actually shelled out money. $4 isn't breaking the bank, though. I added the links to both YouTube videos, along with a test link to an old Blogger blog (just to see if traffic stats matched up).

So far my HitLeap stats say my YouTube videos have received a few thousand hits a piece, but I'm only seeing 150 on one and 300 on the other. I know YT tends to block chunks of views, which is why HitLeap's anonymous source feature was so appealing. My test blog on Blogger has received pretty much the same number of views as HitLeap shows. Heck, I even earned $0.01 on Adsense from it.

The problem I'm facing is that I have thousands of "hits" at my disposal, yet no confident place to put them where I know I'll see a return. Thus, the journey begins.

    Day 1
    Total made: $0.01
    Total invested: $4
    Profit: -$3.99

My apologies for this thing turning into one solid chunk of text. I suppose BHW and my enter key have yet to become friends. :pCan't fix it, either... >.
