What is your opinion about markoved text as content on your sites - will big G discover it quickly?

Does it make sense to put such text on your site in the hope of bored visitors to click your ads? I am running a site - have only small traffic numbers here in order not to draw attraction of G - and the ctr is very very low. Do you have a different experience?

For me the only real use is for cloaking.
It's the only test G must see, the real text is for visitors.
This way you don't get caught for dupe (but maybe for cloaking  )

Markoved text is crap for ranking for anything. It's not only useless for real visitors, if manually inspected, will get you de-indexed.

I have had good results with it for cloaked sites and other "throw away" domains. If you can get backlinks to the site, it will get you some clicks. I wouldn't use it on a domain you actually care about but if you get a $0.99 .info (or a domain you are not going to renew) and load it with crap content, get some backlinks, you can make a few bucks back off of it.

Ask yourself - if YOU Googled something and wound up on a site full of gibberish, would YOU click on any of the ads? Or would you just shut down that window and curse the person who has just wasted your time? It's a no-brainer.

If the markov engine is decent it can get you some nice rankings on long tail keywords. And like Jagged55 said, drop some backlinks to the domains, even very few will sometimes help you getting ranked much better.

Thanks, guys.

But still... can u make money if u just put a bunch of such auto-generated sites? I don't care, if G bans the domain if the outcome is ok. Will there be enough dumb clicking visitors? Anybody real experience with visitor behaviour when having a BS site before their eyes?

Read what we wrote above. If you are looking for a guarantee, you aren't going to get it here as there are too many variables....niche, backlinks, how heavily markov'd your text is and how optimized your page is for clicks/affiliate programs. If you have traffic, there is always a chance for clicks and making money. Test it all on free websites if you don't want to invest the money in domain names.

Thanks jagged55

For doorway pages, markov is (the little experience I have) ok.

I use cloaking and redirect all human visitors to my $$-site, this approach seems to work.

The search engines do not track, that the text is BS (I use my own markov creator and the quality of the text is structurally better than just words-salad w/o point, comma, paragraph....).
