So it took me quite some time to recover the listing fees for my first ever marketplace thread. I think it is quite natural given the average order value was just about 15 USD or so. This competition which is there in the marketplace which I feel as a seller is quite a good thing. Its pushing me harder and harder to make sure the quality of my work is as best as possible. Buyers have been nice so far. No nasty experiences with them. I am thinking about starting a few more BSTs in future.

Any tips which veteran sellers would like to give when it comes to running a successful BST? I know and understand that there are BSTs making 5 figures per year in revenue or even more so just wanted to know if there is any advice which you guys (the veterans) would like to give.

Few years back the competition at BHW was not even half what is today, there are so many sellers now, so you need to be smart, have some sales thread where you can offer freebie, ebook or some free service, and let users engage on your thread.

Try to have a service where you can get users to create membership, so you can offer them new services in future.

Try give some valuable information in general threads, you will be amazed how members can remember you from a valuable information thread.

I have been selling on all major IM forums and BHW was and is the leading source of sales.

Marketplace is quite competitive when it comes to selling stuff and it is a good thing.
