    Good day black hatters,

I am not sure I am posting in the right category, but to my limited knowledge this is the most fitting from the ones available.

Anyway, I have a simple question, and hoped someone experienced enough could throw a number.

What I am looking for is average marketing cost per 1000 new visitors to the website. Or alternatively, how much budget will you need to attract 1000 new visitors in a relatively hard niche. I am speaking about online marketing only.

Now don't take me wrong, i am able to attract 10000 visitors with black hat only and about $100 total investment. Naturally, I can go wild and spend $100,000 and attract the same numbers. I am aware of these, and other, nuances. What I am looking for is how much will average website will spend on online advertisement (google+mailing+facebook+various banners) per 1000 new visitors (who are not necessarily buyers).

Not sure what kind of visitors are you talking about. There are people who sell junk traffic at $6/10k hits ;)

You can use PPC to drive instant targeted traffic to your site and the cost depends on your niche/keyword.

Alternatively, invest in some good SEO software/services and get on top of Google. You can get way more than 1000 visitors that way.

Thats completely wrong. It entirely depends on your niche and KW.
I can get you 1000 hits for <$100 for a KW "no one searches for this crappy KW" cause CPC is $0.05.
And you will never get 1000 hits for even $2000 if you're targeting a KW with CPC like $5-10 ;)

    Cheers.

Yes, I understand that. What I am trying to do is to approximate marketing expenses for a new start-up. And searching for an average number. Lets assume that the niche is not as hard as porno, and not is not as easy as "black parrot sings serenade". But something above average.

As I said previously, going black hat and getting side traffic from uncompetitive niches is very cheap for me. I believe I can go with 10000 targeted visitors for about $100. However, good product requires good long term marketing and at this stage I am looking for some logical price that can be stated to potential investor.
