Market Sam - do you still use or is it bad now?

Aside from being slow as fuck... Yes, it still works.

As for Mac tools, I wouldn't know. I use a computer. :)
 
Well, I interchange between traffic travis and market sam sometimes.
Sam is more detailed but waay too slow. Sometimes I don't even need the additional data, just the number of searches for kw, and the ability to look at the top 10 comp for that keyword
 
Your Mac is going to hold you back.

Get a cheap VPS. I seen them start at $7.50/month
 
MS is slow and i tend to hate using it, but there is nothing better out so we're all stuck with it.
 
Mine seems to be gay.... are there any gayless ones on here I can theft again?

Watch out!! I also used to use MS for my rank tracker until one day
when I booted it up to find out that MS corrupted the file and there
was no way of recovering the file. Months of valuable data gone.
Let's just say I was pissed. I even emailed support which emailed
me back essentially saying that MS is designed for very small projects
and was never designed for "large" rank tracking campaigns.

My recommendation is to back up your file regularly, at least once a
week or you may have the same fate I did. Or, even better, use a web
based rank tracking service. They are a dime a dozen these days and
will save you a ton of time.
 
That's unfortunate. Personally I prefer to use seo power suite rank tracker for that though. Definitely more advanced than MS for ranktracking and allows you to save. Go grab a copy of the crack lying somewhere in this forum, it's worth it and working great. Free version doesn't let you save.

Haha, Yeah my projects aren't usually very big and there are not very many keywords per project I track.

I back them up every 12 days, every time the free trial expires! LOL!

Same here. It's powerful but it runs so damn slowly. It's like this huge tank that can only go 10mph at its best.
 
I stopped using it a while ago, mostly due to the data collection being slow and inefficient as hell..

Now I see that manual keyword research using your brain is much better than using technology mindlessly.
 
Since the last update, the rank tracker has been much quicker on my end. Even switching keyword tabs seems to be a bit quicker, too.
 
I'm still using MS on a daily basis.

So far, it has been quite erratic in terms of speed.

Sometimes, it is fast, sometimes it is damn slow and can get stuck for half an hour or more if you ran a check on more than 50 keywords.

I have other tools to track my keywords but i still find MS best if you want quick look at how your keywords are faring.
