    Hi there

I plan to start my first PBN. I found many interesting expired domains: a lot of them have DA between 10 and 25, and 30+ trust (not the domain, but the former http:// homepage).

Typical profile of these domains is: they used to have like 30+ referring domains in the past, and now they have 2, 3 or 4 only. But the remaining domains still linking them are quite powerful. That's why their trust is high, I guess.

My question is: is a DA 18, with Domain trust of 24 and a http:// homepage with 33 of trust, BUT WITH 3 REFERING DOMAINS ONLY, expired domain still juicy for a PBN ? Or does the fact that only 3 domains still linking it, makes it useless ?

Thank you in advance for your advice

    C.

3 backlinks is plenty if those backlinks are of a high quality.

Here's what I ask myself - do I think that those remaining backlinks are going to stick around? In other words, is there clear evidence that those backlinks are unlikely to get deleted. Is it a news page (which typically remain unchanged)? Does the page say when it was last updated? Can you see in archive.org how long the link has been present on the page?

If you think the links will remain then the domain is worth it (depending on price of course).

Thank you very much for your quick answer.

A few of them I found the past days have already been taken. Take a look at leonavalleysilverlabs.com. I don't mind: I have still plenty like this one.

    Homepage
http://www.leonavalleysilverlabs.com/ has Trust 32 and domain 20, with 8 good referring domains.

I have checked some backlinks and yes, sometimes, pages that link these expired domains have been last time modified 2 or 3 years ago. Which means that they have been forgotten and should stay there still for a long time...

Any advice, opinion etc is welcome...

    Home Page:
Many will argue that Moz DA/PA is very important however, their index is significantly smaller than Majestic (700+ billion compared to Moz <200B).

Not to mention Moz runs it's updates about once per month, Majestic is VERY frequent. Judging by that alone, you can make your own opinion in regards to which is the best metric. Personally, I like to keep balance between them, but I find that the most important factor is relevancy.

These PBN sites, are you building them for a specific niche or set of keywords? If so, then I would seek domains that are directly related to that with a high trust flow (try to keep a positive ratio to your citation flow 1:1, ideally you want TF = or > CF)

    Hope this helps.

I like to see some PR also
Means at some stage it had quality links
use way back machine to grab some of its old content,
then use a aplugin like digi link doctor to regain some of the old backlinks

As said before, number of backlinks is not as important as the quality. I would also look at the anchor text for those backlinks, to make sure they're not spammy.
