"Manufacturer refurbished" Items is it good to buy from ebay?i want to buy a camera
Yes, you can try but always check first the sellers feedback. I've bought in the past different refurbished items from Ebay and I was always pleased.
I personally avoid any sort of refurbished item.
Depends on who you are buying from and how much you are saving.
Manufacturer refurbished usually means the shop demonstration model that's been cleaned up and put back in the box.
Or return items.
Yeah sometimes returns.....maplin for example sell returned items for half price. Most of them are perfect, they were returned because they were sent out with the wrong plug or the buyer was too thick to read the instructions.
I have bought a laptop off eBay that was refurbished. It was nearly half price so weighing it up I thought it was a good deal. A high end camera would want to have a good discount before I would get interested.
Do a google search for the refurbished item to check if you can get it from a retail location like wal-mart or best buy. If so, there will likely be some type of warranty on the product and possibly a better price than on ebay.
I was checking a while back and saw refurbished products on ebay that I could get from wal-mart for 10 bucks cheaper... refurbished and with a warranty. So I could about guess where the sellers where getting their products from.
Check that its actually been refurbed by the manufacturer. Some "technical" people will clean or fix it themselves, and then claim it is manufacturer refurbed.
