hello,

im new to seo, i want to build traffic to my site quick, ive read in different white hat books that i have to create 5 links per day max and do the manually, if i create backlinks with software and maybe do like 20 a day would that really tell google my website is spam?

It depends on many factors, like the number of total backlinks you already have, the domain age and the link building velocity you were actually having.

To be sure, just try to look natural: start with few and gradually increase.

domain is new, no backlinks at all. so if i start with at least 20 a day would i be good?

Twenty a day is not going to cause you any problems at all and actually you could go higher than that without any issues. What you do not want to do is drop a huge number at one time then stop. What you do want to do is ramp up the number as your domain ages and your site acquires links. Plan out your first couple of months and then just keep building.
