Manual Penalty?

    If I removed the offending content would this penalty be removed automatically or is this one of those penalty where you have no choice but to submit a reconsideration request?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Penalty apply by Google manually, your web is not hited by penguin or Panda...

    So what you're saying is that a manual reconsideration request is required?

    may be. but I don't think solving the pages is a good idea. cause the success rate is very low :p
    in the mean time you can easily create another website and rank that one and also start earning.
    Remember Its the big G. they don't tell everyone clearly about anything.
