Guys, I am having some struggles ranking for some keywords. It seems like hit or miss with xrumer profiles. Some of the keywords rank easily and almost instantly while other get stuck on page 3,4,5,etc'

So I have started manual link building where I am only building links on high PR pages. In your experience what is better for ranking. If xrumer can't do it have you been able to rank with some good manual links?

In my experience (I don't have xrumer...yet. But I do have MANY other spam/spammish tools) it is a combination of both backlinks AND content.

I can take duplicate content, give it 3 times as much linkjuice as my original content, and my original content will take a higher position, and my original content will have ONLY spam begotten backlinks.

any link is a good link man just keep building them thats all i can say but this is my theory lets say my competion has 2000 backlinks on a certain page for a keyword i want to rank for i will get at least 2000 quality backlinks and then a bunch of shitty ones..article marketing and creating web 2.0 properties are best

In my opinion the twist is to make your mass submits (aka spams) not look like spams.. ;) Then for sure the spamming is more effective as manual links, as it's almost the same quality, just the quantity is much more!

Basically I have been doing two main type of backlinks which included tons of profiles=spammy and then just recently started doing manual high PR links from blogs and forums. I mean page rank 4,5,6 links on the actual PR page. I am not sure what is going to be more effective, but I would assume the manual linkbuilding would be a lot more effective, but it is just too early to tell for me and that is why I was wondering what other people have experienced.

Just seems weird that I see an instant boost from xrumer, but I see no immediate change from pr7 links.
