    During my time as a marketplace moderator, I've tested many Instagram growth services in a variety of shapes and sizes. However, it's rare that I come across a seller who demonstrates the professionalism and knowledge of their service that @IGKing did during this review process, and it's for this reason that I've selected this specific service to be the first to receive a "premium-style review" that I'm testing in the marketplace.

    Initial Consultation
    The review started off fairly typical: I contacted @IGKing to inform him that I would be reviewing his $199/month package for 2 weeks as opposed to one month. I provided him with the login credentials for an Instagram account that I received from a different service I reviewed recently. The Instagram account was nothing special, just a relatively inactive cat niche account with roughly 500 followers and a history of botting on the account. It was a real mess that I normally would've tossed into my supply of social media accounts I use for any old service.

    I received a detailed response back the same day confirming the date the account's growth would begin. However, @IGKing had three additional questions for me before they began their service. The first question they asked me was if they could post from the account, which isn't something that's involved in their normal service but I gave them permission to do regardless. The second question was for permission change the biography on the profile, which as @IGKing told me, was "Something that our growth manger will typically consult on. We recommend changes to clients if we feel like it could benefit growth, and I believe some profile adjustments could benefit growth". The final question was a request to change the username on the account, which is also another question one of his growth managers would have asked me if they deemed it necessary, and one I felt was necessary as well. @IGKing then sent me the login credentials to access account analytics and view the user interface of his website. Finally, as the review was conducted entirely within the sales thread, the seller ended the message by sending me both the welcome email and the email I would've received from the growth manager had I signed up to their service as an actual customer.

    Once I answered @IGKing's questions, he responded to me the next day to inform me that he was planning to start the growth service on the account in a couple of days. As he explained to me, they go through the process of manually setting up a new device, training someone, and figuring out the best growth strategy for the account, which usually takes a few days to accomplish.

    The Service Begins
    The next message I received from @IGKing was an update to inform me that the biography and username were changed on the Instagram account. However, I really appreciated the fact that a brief explanation on the new username was provided to me. He let me know in the same message that he was going to avoid posting from the account from a few days to avoid a potential shadow ban due to both the changes he made recently and due to the past botting history of the account. I felt this was a reasonable action to take, so I gave the seller permission to start the actual review slightly later.

    First Update
    Five days later, @IGKing provided me with an update on how the account's growth is going. As usual, he was friendly and professional in this message as he is in every message he sent me before. The update was in regards to the fact that the account was averaging 60 new followers per day, which I confirmed by checking out the account on IGBlade. I was also informed that the current followings of the account had been unfollowed which, while not part of his standard procedure, @IGKing made an exception for as this was was a test account.

    I ask the seller a question about the purpose of archiving posts as they told me in the same message that they archived some of the posts on the account temporarily, to which they provided me with the following response that answered my question concisely and to my satisfaction:

    Basically, I wanted to see if the engagement would increase or decrease if the account appears to be a fresh account. In the past, Instagram places a better "trust score" on accounts that have 0 posts, because it understands that the content that will be moving forward will be different and unique, so it often places that content higher in the followers timeline. This can be somewhat of a hit or miss. I've had similar "resets" appear to help accounts in the pass, so I just wanted to see if it had any positive affect on the account.​


    Second Update
    A second update was provided to me by the seller a day later as there was a site-wide update released by Instagram that caused many growth providers to receive an "account compromised" message. Therefore, the account was being rested for a couple of days. Once again, I appreciated that the seller made haste to message me as soon as he would his actual customers, and in fact he provided me with the same email on the review thread that he sent out to his customers.

    Third Update
    The seller contacted me once the update was over to tell me that the account growth started again. He offered compensation for the down time by adding extra days to the original two week review as he would for his customers under his terms and conditions. For transparency purposes, growth before and during the update was provided to me as well.

    Fourth Update

    The fourth and final update was both a summarisation of notes from the review process that summarised the more important bits of information he sent me before as well as a final summary of the account's statistics, which I've taken the liberty of posting below.
    • Average daily growth: 41 followers.
    • Peak growth: 103
    • Lowest day of growth: 20
    • Growth over time: 30 (as of today, might increase a bit before the day is over), 34 (yesterday) ,35,34,34,26,35,35,20,45,49,48,59,103 (first day).
    • Starting followers: 577
    • Ending followers: 1206 (as of today, might increase a bit before the day is over).
    I did look over the followers manually and I could see that they were real, niche relevant accounts I would expect to follow the type of account I provided @IGKing access to.

    Final Thoughts
    To summarise this review, I was impressed with the way the seller conducted himself as a professional and I was pleased with the results and authenticity of their service. Despite me having no personal attachment to the account I provided the seller, the way @IGKing treated it with the respect I can imagine he treats his own accounts made me care about what was previously a fodder account. I wish @IGKing the best of luck with his new service as well as in his future endeavours, but I get the feeling he won't need luck should he continue to offer the outstanding service he offered to me to all of his customers.

    The most recent instagram changes and blocks have been quite frustrating times for my accounts and people I work with. I abandoned most of the tools I've worked with the past years in favor of working with IGking, as it seems that the way to go is indeed manual.
    The growth is at a very good and consistent pace, it's especially important and good looking for the sponsorship brands that we work with as its all quite organic and our accounts keep moving forward which is the most important.
    While there was a small period of lack of growth at the beginning for one of the accounts, IGking was always responsive, explaining why and re-instituting them as compensation later in the month
    I'm very happy with the service, the past, present and future of Instagram is manual.
