Okay, so here's a new one I've come across today... I have a website where I post content rich, user engaging articles. The site had a lot of hits and provided quality content to visitors, they browsed page to page and I'd highly expect them to find what they came for. However today I opened WMT to find a manual action for "Pure Spam". I thought what!? There's no way my site is pure spam, it has a custom built design and quality content etc, it's a good site and it's built for the users. Then I searched some of the content from my site in Google and I noticed a lot of other websites have been stealing my content and spinning it, but they are obviously the spammers and not me, I'm providing the original stuff. What on earth do I do? I've submitted a reconsideration request but how on earth could I combat this from happening again in the future (providing I do actually get reconsidered)? You can disavow links but what on earth do I do with copied content, and also since it's spun sometimes it's very hard to find, I probably just came across the less well spun stuff.
