Manny Pacquiao's official website is for sale on Flippa, bidding is already at $20,000

I saw this auction when it was listed too. I can see it as both a good and bad investment depending on what the sales price is.

The good side would be having enough time to see 1-2 months of sales prior to the big event, and then the explosion of sales leading up to it.

The bad side is once the auction ends, there is less than 2 months to profit until the big fight.

I really see it dropping off once the match is over. (unless pac man wins somehow).

Smart move of them to offload it now. Although the auction is kind of BS. The seller mentions 1-2 rematch fights. We all know that won't happen. Pac man will be in politics next year, and his stint in boxing over.

If this site sells for under $40,000 I think it is a good investment. Anything else is risky in my opinion.

I mean realistically, when pac man loses, look 6 months, 1 year, 2 years down the road. Who will want his stuff? Not too many people.

Cush,

I agree with you on alot of the points you have made but Manny is an icon to his people in his country and abroad. There will alway be a desire for his merchandise, even after he loses.

I disagree that the fate of this website will be based on whether Manny wins or lose the fight. This website is a good buy even after the fight since it's 25% owned by Manny. Imagine how you can use that to get angel investors/VC on board with you to revamp the site/business. Manny is a big name.
