Managing people who connect to your wifi router. Anybody know how?

    Hey. i live in a hostel (in a foreign country) where this guy provides internet for everyone. he manages everything from his macbook via a browser i think. He can control who can access internet (internet doesnt work even if you know the password) and even the speed that we get. Can anyone please tell me how this is done? And how to do it

    connectify is an app which allows people to share their internet as well as block access to devices

    There is a web interface for every router where you can change settings, restrict users by physical address, limit bandwidth and so on. That's how it is done.

    It's called QOS, quality of service settings.

    QoS. Not all routers have this feature.

    You can manage users by restricting access to certain mac addresses.
