Say you stir up some vitamin crap and market it as some miracle pill for whatever and get it on some affiliate sites. What do you figure the income would be for something like that if it were on several networks?

Millions! But, in addition to the cost of branding, hosting, and getting setup with a CC company to be able to allow rebills, it's gonna cost you $10k minimum with each network just to get started...

where does the start up cost go? I mean besides the creation of the product.

I think the regulatory hurdles are considerable. You need FDA approval for any kind of pill if it is to be sold in the US; the process takes many months.

And you can't just make crap claims about efficacy and expect not to be sued. :)

This is how big companies started. Haha, loving this shit, I feel like I'm moving up just for reading this.

If you plan to have a rebill product like Acai Berry/Teeth Whitening/ Google Money/ ResV; you'll need $xxx, xxx in liquid assets.

My best advice to you is to sell something that isn't tangible. You can make great money selling an idea or a concept, program etc Selling things that require shipping storage blah blah blah it sucks. Non tangible items don't need approval either.
