Making Video Tutorials! What do you want to know about making money with emailing?

Hey BHW,

Most of you guys know me from the affiliate network ViceOffers. Our affiliates are constantly asking me questions about generating traffic from emailing and how to turn that email traffic into money.
Most of our affiliates are running adult/dating type traffic, but also some finance and other MMO lead generation type traffic.


So i'm going to make a video series trying to touch on all the points. I've made many training videos in the past and people have complained they are too LOOONG! Grrr* I work hard on those...
This time I will be breaking down each specific question into it's own short 1-4 minute video.


These are currently the different video's I want to make. I will keep updating this list with your requests and keep adding the updated list to the thread. Currently we have:

1. How to setup your own domain for emailing
2. How to generate fresh incoming email leads
3. How to use bought or scraped email lists
4. Practices on avoiding getting your emails into spam
5. What is smtp?
6. How to setup your smtp and pop3 for sending emails.
7. Best link shortening practices.
8. Adding unsubscribe links to your emails, should you do it?
9. Checking your sender score and how to improve it.
10. The truth about needing IP's for mailing.
    
11. The best sources for getting email leads.

Since most of our ViceOffer affiliates use the TEARengager autoresponder software I will be using it in some of my video tutorials. TEARengager version 4 is being released early November so that is when I plan on releasing all these videos. You can check it out here: TEARcloud.com


Some specific videos related to the TEARengager software so far will be:

1. How to create a template.
2. What are no-response templates.
3. How to add unsubscribe link.
4. How to use the blacklist feature.
5. Adding tokens to your templates.
6. How the autoresponder series work, setting up filters.

8. How to run multiple campaigns.
9. How to add smtp/pop3 accounts.
10. How to drip feed leads.
11. How to setup templates for incoming live leads.

There's a lot of answers for this question!!! I guess first i'de need to know your niche to get a better idea of what types of leads you are looking to generate.

The traditional way would be if you have a website/landing page you can use opt-in forms to collect emails and save them to your database. But I know a lot of people don't have the patience or traffic for this.
Another great way with TEARengager is any emails contacting you will be saved in your database. So let's say you are a MMO marketer and want emails of people interested in learning how to make money online. You can post around on the forums saying "Hey, I wrote a ebook on how I now make $200/day. Shoot me an email at [email protected]". Now anyone who emails you will be put into your email list. I'll go more into details on how to set that up in the videos.

Another way would be to buy leads. This can be amazing or devastating. You really need to trust the person you are buying your leads from. Many times these leads have been used and abused, but it never hurts to try small batches and if you see results to keep trying more.
Scraping leads from websites is another way. You can use something like scrapebox to get this job done or build your own scraper. This lets you target specific sites but you're mainly left with admin/support type emails.

One pretty sweet method is exporting leads from one of your email addresses. This is very powerful for getting dating leads. If you have someone who generates dating leads they usually have gmail accounts or other email addresses with full inbox's of guys that have contact their 'looking for a date' ads.
With TEARengager you can take a gmail account or any email provider and export all the leads inside of it using a pop3 connection. Not sure if this makes sense if you are not in the dating industry but basically marketers post ads like "Hey i'm 23/f looking for a date. Send me an email at [email protected]". After some time that email account will be full of email leads trying to talk to Jessica. You can export all the leads out of that account and put them into a nice lead file for re-targeting.
