Youre running adsense on tumblr? Im kinda surprised you haven't been terminated from either adsense or tumblr yet.

Find a vertical that your followers would like and make posts about that. People arent used to being sold products on tumblr so they arent used to interacting with ads on tumblr. You need to put your marketing in as part of the flow of the site.

Although there are a number Adsense blogs on Tumblr , I wouldn't risk my Tumblr account.

Try CPM and/or push traffic to your own hosted blog

I believe there is a method in this thread that outlines how you can make money with tumblr.

Adsense is more common unless you have a NSFW, then juicyads is the way to go. I've made money with both (I have 2 fashion blogs, funny picture/gossip celebrity blog, and NSFW porn review blog) for a while now and with very few followers compared to you, so you should do well. Don't overdo it with ad placement or you'll look like a spam blog and get banned. And don't use any methods/applications/networks or whatever that even seem slightly questionable and shady....cause chances are tumblr knows about it and will eventually ban you. I wouldn't be surprised if they follow this forum :p

I would just stick to commonly used ad networks. Don't use sites like plugrush (which plugrush isn't allowed on tumblr anymore for a reason, so don't use clone plugrush sites) and don't activate ad options with popups or popunders. Just place an ad either under the header, in sidebar description area, and I surprisingly get more cllicks on adsense ads located at the end of each post before the notes section (this is done by placing the code in custom html section).

7000 followers and only 300 views??? I would prefer the opposite. With a ctr of 1%, which I think is not that bad on tumblr (depending on your niche), you will have 3 clicks a day.

I completely agree wiht this.. i make around $100 a month from 1 tumblr blog (fashion) that only has a few hundred followers on adsense... nothing is wrong with using adsense if your posts fall in line with theri TOS.... seng1 is right about keeping adsense simple, 1 at the top, 1 on the right, and 1 in footer after the last post... Idk why either but my footer gets the most clicks.... I also use adfly in my click through links and that pulls in an additon 10-15$ a month depending...
