Hello everyone, this is my first post to this forum. I don't much hang out on forums but I think I have found my home here which is why I would like to share a simple way of making money by collecting reward points from Megavideo.

I'm doing this to get some 'props' or 'thanks' or whatever you kids call them nowadays.

Let's start.

As you might already know, Megavideo will pay you if your uploaded videos get a lot of views. They will count one unique IP add per video per day which translates to one point per view. You need to be a paid member to collect reward points but don't worry, you can also get their premium membership for free if your videos get lots of views.

The basic payout is 10k points = free membership, up to 1 million points = $1500 and 5 million = $10000.

Now, keep in mind, your videos can not violate any copyright laws, so you need to put up your own vids, which is very simple.

Step 1: Create a few videos and upload them. Something simple. Anything really, as long as they're yours. I personally just made a few 'intros' with flying text on Win Movie Maker.

Step 2: Visit hxxp://w3.sidereel*com and snoop around the TV shows section. The most popular shows are usually House, Entourage, Weeds etc. Figure out what days and times new episodes air.

Step 3: Find a new episode for the show you'd like to post to (DO NOT upload one yourself). You can find new episodes right there on sidereel. Set up a simple page that has the new episode of the show you want to link to as well as (this is important), a couple of your own videos below that episode in iframes. The reason you use iframes is because if you embed the vid it won't autoplay. If you put them in iframes they will all play simultaneously whenever someone visits that page with firefox (don't know about safari, but google platinum also works, IE doesn't).

Step 4: Make everything look neat (nothing fancy, just so it looks legit).

Step 5: Post your link to sidereel.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about, this is my own page hxxp://w3.lokuloku*org

*Notes*
Sidereel usually locks their links after an episode airs. For example, Entourage airs at around 11 on sunday, sidereel will lock the page and you won't be able to post your link after around 11:30 (estimate) so act fast.

You will get a lot of hits this way so you can promote lots of things on that page. You can also do cpalead but this will get your url banned from sidereel.

Hope you all like it and I'll appreciate some props. :30:

looks good will try out.can u tell how much traffic can u get by this method?approximately.

It depends on the show, but you can easily get 5 - 10k uniques in a day. Also, if you write in your video description something like 'HD Quality' or 'High Quality' you'll get more views.

Looks nice, but I feel like it would be sort of difficult getting traffic, but prove me wrong :)

Not sure how you want me to prove you wrong, I mean you can try for yourself and see what type of results you get. Look, it's definitely not something you want to focus on exclusively as far as getting your traffic is concerned. It's more of a side-venture you might want to play with.

1.5 for 1000 vitisors,i remeber something about Sidereel was mentioned here, try some cpa or zango things, maybe they can convert better

Ok, so if I understand this correctly, we build a site using the way you mentioned, let's call it "movieground.com" And it looks like a site that has the current episode of say House. So you will design it and write like House season 2 episode 3 or something like that, but we actually don't have a House episode video, we have our own unique video that they go to.

So we trick the user correct?

No I think you actually want to provide the video to the user, so they get the video and you get your view.

Sidereel is heavily moderated these days so you would have to really have the video to get a ton of traffic.

Let me simplify. You provide the video, find it from someone else, do not upload one yourself bc that will not get you paid since it's breaks copyrights. Embed that ACTUAL episode in your site. Now, BELOW that actual video you put up a couple of your videos, I have six per page on my pages.. this means that for ONE visitor I get SIX video views since I put them in iframes(making them autoplay)..... make sense?

Lol 6 video loads..how long does it take to load up that page? haha loading up 1 iframe already seems quite slow.. but then again i guess sidereel traffic is pretty targette theyd do anything to watch thier shows..

Actually, theres a simple way around that too, you make your videos like 7 seconds long each. It loads without a hitch on my computer so.... unless you're using.. u know, dial up or something which I doubt most visitors are since a lot of the videos they post are usually long and a lot are divx which need faster connections etc. MAN im rambling.

thats actually a cool method. could also CS the site, use adwords etc.

call it 5k visitors daily, take 200 days to get 10,000. doing it with 6 videos at a time = 200 days for 60,000.

$300 a day, don't think many people would complain :p

i'll try this after my next CPA adventure

I bet this would work with MetaCafe as well. Would I be correct assuming that?

This is a GREAT idea! But I do have one question. Take notice in the "terms" where megavideo states what a "qualifying" view is. Up to one view per IP address per video per day will be counted. Does this mean putting more than one video per page would be pointless?

No awards will be given to users whose files violate our terms of service.

"Up to one view per IP adress per video per day" Its per video so you just make 6 different videos.

metalcolin...

I visited you webpage to see your links crashed...
Seems work-extensive to update the links everyday...

Good luck with this venture....

i couldnt figure out what your link was ment to be.... but if im getting 5k views per video per day if i do this once a day per good program....

then thats technically like 5k x 6videos = 30k points a day....
so after urrrrm 33 days of constant 5k hits per video..... im going to be getting 1.5k (if i purchase a premium account if not then its just 1 more day ontop)
so that makes it about $45 a day

now then post 4 videos a day and your talking about $200 a day if they all give you 5k hits.... now thats getting into good cash :P

think i gotta try out this :P see how it works....

okay just done some research on this and it seems that people have mixed views about if megavideo pays or not....
the owner is an ex convict for hacking etc (people can change) and has scammed alot of people big time.... however one person says that they have got paid and another says they havent.... i sent an email to them last night (been about 12 hours so far with no reply) and apparantly they have crap support and dont answer emails... dont even know with what method they pay but still i dont know if i should waste like 60 hours of my time (2 hours a day) just to see if this works... if anyone one does and it does work let me know but honestly seems a bit of a rip off if they dont pay.
