for me it's more like hobby, i've got nothing to loose. see if i could expand my knowledge and earnings. there's so much fun in it. i will keep my main job coz i see they are related ( networking ) so i'm doubling the fun

trying to make a long lasting relationship with customers, that they who will allways guarantee your paycheck delivered. lot of methods : email, opt-in, subsribers and such. secondly with quality contents (customer's a king), smart ad placement and mix that with a little dip of black method..

No. If you want to abide by someone else's rules, make them money and be paid just enough money to cover your bills so you have to return on Monday without the possibility of ever becoming financially secure, Then internet marketing is not for you. Try being a slave or an indentured servant.

I go to University, so yes, it is. Just some spare cash on the side.

I have a TV site with CPA offers Gateway on the Videos and a few other things I do as well.

Not that much atm, but I have figured a good method out, so hopefully I will be making a few hundred per week.

Internet marketing can be a career if done seriously, it must be treated like a business and worked on everyday,and when things can be outsource and expanded and upscale,you must capitalize on those opportunities.

Do not share any of your work with strangers,hidden niches,golden keywods,
Work with people you can trust,
MONEY is not needed other then internet and yourself to start your internet marketing venture,I say this because the beginning of my internet marketing journey I couldn't afford internet,and used an adapter to steal my neighbors internet,
If you are going to spend any money,put it towards whats NEEDED, .com's and hosting and of course internet is a necessity.

Focus on Whitehat for long term and safe money income, I begun with black hat,but since reduce those practices significantly.

READ! and KEEP READING, Once internet marketing money started coming in,I started to read and read as much as i can.

I have read too many seo books along with tons of other books alone in 2009 i probably read more then 15 books alone in 2009 that i purchased online and offline,ebay,amazon,etc, I focus all my time and life in this JOB,Have many streams of income,and will not stop. Only spend once you can,because of internet marketing money, These books I have read have given me more perspective and insight,and has been significant in me achieving all i have,I only started buying these books after I started making $$$ on the internet,If you have the money to spend then go ahead and start right away reading, But the main resources will come from forums such as bhw and digitalpoint forums,visit many forums,or you will miss out on valuable information.

Put the money back on expanding your internet marketing ventures,now its time to play with money,money you can burn is the true way to learn. Just make sure its in small safe segments,once ROI is generated then you can upscale, Only step into this game once you master the internet marketing game of being able to make money without spending money!

I quit my day job (I used to work at Wells Fargo Financial) 3 years ago to go "full time" with what was originally just a hobby (internet marketing).

If yes, how do you do Internet marketing for a long period of time to make a living?
I have roughly 20 websites, each with about 1k pages that are used to market products on Clickbank and another affiliate network. I also run my own membership site that is $65.00 to join and then $10.00 a month for life to be a member. I have about 1,400 members (give or take...I don't feel like checking my database for a member count).

I'm afraid I don't fully understand this question. Any way you make money on the internet would involve somebody buying something, giving something (like an email address) or visiting a page...all of which would involve some sort of marketing (either to get them to the page, to convince them to buy or to convince them to give you something).

I dropped out of high school at 17 years old.

I'm 24

I make anywhere from 3k during a bad month, to 11k on a good month (usually during the holiday seasons, and 1 month during the summer). I use the methods described above.
