Making Beats on Soundclick, but no money. Need some help/advice friends!

Holla to all friends here.

I'm a professional Hip-Hop and R&B Beat maker. Have made beats for E-40, Ying Yang Twins, Big Omeezy, Bow Wow, Da Muzicianz and many, many more.

3 week ago i made my Soundclick page. Ordered VIP account,designed nice and, i think, original Layout. Putted there also Production Credits, but haden't sold much Beats.

I had also bought one Soundclick promotion thing from Promogoons, but also not much sales.. i think 4 or less sales were. Now i'm really desperate, because don't know what to do, how to sell Beats there..

I have now about 120 Plays a day, which is really nothing and i haden't sold any beat for 2 weeks now..

it would be really nice guys, if someone here can help me, for real. any advices,tips or etc. now strulling with bill things, so, yeah...

and about those Soundclick promotions, they are already sold for next 2 months..damn.

Really hope that somebody here can find a solution to my pain.

Selling beats? lol How much are you selling them for? Have you tried selling them lower?

I'm looking to get into beat selling myself.

Need some better equipment though. Right now I'm just messing around with FL Studio.
 
Ahh beats are a good market, I mess around in REAPER. Have you promoted in the Renoise,REAPER forums at all?

Have you thought about making a sampler type thing and uploading to torrent sites? With a link in the .NFO to your soundclick page? Proaudiotorrents etc... Finally some music talk lol, im a VST developer..
 
Search in Google something like "where to sell beats" "best place to sell places" "how to sell beats" something like that. I'm a rapper and I lovely buy beats, I do not sell my music but I still pay ($30 $50 per beat). I mean, there is a big market out there but try to make some rapper friends, tell them that you like their music, make relationships.

Make some free beats with your URL to some place, your own portfolio. I reccommend you ShadowVille dot com to sell beats, that's the only page I know, lol.

Sombrero, yes, i have tried to type in Google those words and tried to get in touch with rappers. I have also some Major Artist friends, but that won't help a lot in my market as i see...

Any other tips, friends? Would appreciate them.

Do you have a Youtube channel? If not, create one and start uploading your beats to youtube (still images with your beats on background, easy to do with MovieMaker).

Tell people in your ut channel that you're SELLING beats. Then, start making friends. Tubetoolbox helps you in promotion.
 
I'd write some sort of articles and adverts to dump some place too. And bring up the popular drum packages like Drums on demand, Betamonkey etc.. I know a ton of people are looking for beats and they are always looking up betamonkey etc, but when they find they are simple rock and ballad type stuff they are turned off.. Might be an opportunity to steal some traffic.

You know guys are looking to cut and slice up beats. I'd make a sampler package that is free. Then you can submit it to freeware sites..

Honestly, the best thing I've done was submit a freeware package to KVRaudio.com ... all the freeware sites scrape the plugin/samples section... You will see tons of backlinks instantly from it.

KVRaudio database with a freeware sampler should get you going quite a bit. And once its in the database, its there for a long time, you get real traffic... and a ton of traffic from the wanna-be sites.

YouTube is always a good idea, but instead of just uploading the beats you should consider making some tutorials on how to create beats. This way you will probably get more views and furthermore you will be seen as an expert in that field which gives you more credibility and thus more sales.
 
Thanks, guys. Appeciate you're replies. Damn, i can't post my Soundclick link, because, i think, i have not enough posts. When i reach them, i will put link here, maybe then, when you check it out, will tell more, why i am in situation where i am now..

Btw, yes, i have Youtube too, i think it's pretty nice, but about tutorials, no, i haden't made any, but now thinking about it. Sample pack etc are awesome idea too, will try to make it too.

It's MASSIVELY important to offer free stuff in the music business nowadays. Since you can now write/produce/record everything with an Mbox and an inexpensive daw and free VSTI's,vsts.

Everyone expects at least SOMETHING free nowadays in that field.
 
If i let all my music being for FREE download, then i wouldn't sell anything right? And about free vsti and etc. Well, yes, i totally agree, but if you want really nice sound, radio ready, Billboard charts ready Beats? Well, i don't think that it can be made with free VSTi's, but who knows... everything is possible.

Damn, it really is painful, that you can't post links here. I would like to post it and everybody could see my page and music, it's quality etc...

yea i've seen his videos if your trying to sell beats online he has some good advice
 
I have looked up him. Thinking about buying that Marketing Magic. Had somebody bought it? What is you're thoughts about it?

Because not every day you sell Beats to people like him, but paying for rent or etc you need to do every month, right? :)
