I am making a SFW (safe for work) Image board with no adult images, it will be based around business, cryptocurrencies, and technology, but there will be funny, meme, tv, anime, and other boards. I will make sure the content is as clean as possible but since it is anonymous that can be hard to do sometimes. So here are my questions.
    1. How can I monetize this? I don't think adsense would work since there will be some trolls who post innapropriate content but I will try to make it clean as possible. I was also thinking about integrating the type of thing where you get paid to type captchas, so it would reduce spam and I would make money from it.
    2. How can I get traffic? The board will be similar to four chan except it will be clean and I will not delete all the posts, they will all stay archived so I can get some sort of SEO traffic from them. What ideas do you have for traffic? I was thinking about using pinterest since the site will be based around images.
    3. How can I integrate bitcoins/altcoins? I want users to be able to reward other users with cryptocurrencies for good posts. How can I do this? Will it be hard if I only know a little about HTML and JavaScript? Should I have people create accounts even though it is anonymous?
Sorry for the text wall but I want to make sure I do this right before I launch the final product.

What kind of weed do you smoke to write posts colored this way? :D
I don't know really about this question, but I think this traffic will be very hard to monetize. Image board users are usually young, very tech savvy, blind to ads, etc...

It's quite difficult to implement cryptocurrencies transactions knowing only "a little about HTML and Javascript". You need to use some kind of API, e.g.: https://block.io/

About the monetization you could also try cryptocurrencies donations, maybe?

I am actually interested in the same thing... If you're able to find out what good imageboard scripts there are that are free then let me know bro... If not, I am thinking about using somebody from Fiverr to develop one for me in the future... I want to develop and start an imageboard website without all the fucking trash 4ch4n represents too... Would be pretty great, I think

well, i think the order of the questions got mixed up, you should have the answer to your second question at first, you have time to worry about monetization
possible traffic sources: social media, le leddit, even fourchan itself or already existing more successful clones, chan listing sites

there are already countless clones out there, if anybody wants to create a somewhat successful one, he needs to offer something more/unique and not less (only SFW content), something which is not yet implemented on the leading image board, so people will flock to your site
what would you tell me, why should i use your site instead of fourchan?

about SFW content: you think that right, when you'll receive enough traffic, you won't be able to control the content and it will spiral out of hand fast, so you'll either need to recruit mods or you won't be able to keep up with the pace, but that's only if you manage to get traffic :p

as long as captchas go, one thing is sure: people hate captchas from their guts, so you may end up loosing more money/visitors than what you make w/ implementing it, the payout is really low per solved captcha

actually like it or not that's why it became so successful, because of the content of the random board, it's also true, there are a lot of different boards on it, every each with its own microcosm/language, but /b/ is far the most successful

I will have a more modern theme, I won't delete the posts I will archive them and I will try to make it SFW as possible.
