I know this is going to sound retarded, but honestly I'm grown and I don't give a sh**. Anyway, my wife put me onto this facebook app called 'Yoville'. It's pretty much a little virtual world where everyone talks in real time via text chat. They dress up their avatars in clothes that you have to buy with 'coins' or 'cash'. You earn coins by hitting the 'Factory' once every 6 hours (real time). Depending on how many friends you have, will determine how much you get paid. All in all, it's pretty cool, and very addictive if you're a noob with it. It's also on myspace, too...but it's more popular on FB. Anyway, here's how someone could get doe with this game. I've already seen others do it in the process. In the game, you have the opportunity to own 'real estate'. It's actual houses where people can come in and chill and talk. You start off with a rinky dink apartment, and once you get your money up in the game, you can buy a piece of property. One of the things about this...is that you can name your real estate. I've seen people naming their real estate to reflect a website they want people to visit. No matter what room you go in that house, the name of the house will be at the top for all to see. (I've also seen people playing the game with their URL as their character name.) So, once they name these houses, they'll spend 1000 coins to post what's called a 'premium event'. On the game, they have events that people post, to get people to visit their home. When you spend some of your 'coins' on a premium event, your event is highlighted and always shown at the top of the listings. They never move down unless they've been up for a long time. The free listings go away REAL quick. So, tons of people visit these premium events, and always get exposure to the name of your house (which is your website's url). I've done this to promote a few of my websites in different niches like weight loss, video games, sports, and even CPA offers. 99.9% of the game has no idea what internet marketing is...so it's simple to pitch CPA offers to them. The game itself has a huge listing of CPA offers that THEY promote in exchange for their 'coins' and 'cash'. People constantly attack these offers to gain credits for the game...so by having a social event on there, with your website as the name of the house...you'll get some cool traffic. The last premium event I did on there scored me 100 quick visits to a squeeze page I had in the 'make money online niche. Got about 25 signups. Pretty cool for free traffic, right? If this sounds cool to you...just log on to facebook (or myspace), look for the Yoville app, and get to work for some easy traffic.
