If you want to redirect all non-www requests to www, then do the following:

    1. If you don't already have one, create a .htacess file.

    2. Add the following code:
    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    Options +FollowSymLinks
    # Redirect non-www to www
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
(replace the domain.com with your real domain name)

    3. Upload .htacess file to the root directory using e.g. FTP Client (File Zilla).

Google Webmaster Tools lets you set a preference as to how you prefer your site to be displayed. I'd start there.

As SEOWhizz stated, create an .htaccess file as well. The main reason for that, though, is to make sure only one version of your home page receives all the authority from links and on-page content.

EDIT: littleg beat me to it!
